A basic stay—very, very clean in a great neighborhood with easy access to the train & charity shopping.

Exactly what we expected for the price. We had an en-suite which was clean enough. Bedding was also clean. Really good location for the tube and pubs etc
Ruth, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Overpriced and outdated structure
Filippo, 1-night trip

OK as a bed for the night, but very no frills

Stayed overnight and certainly only qualified for two stars - comfortable enough, clean sheets and helpful staff. Beds on wheels without headboards moved around the room as you got in them, shower head very crusted with limescale, thin door to the room let lots of noise through.

After reading some reviews I was so anxious about staying here. For the one night it was perfect. It was clean. Check in was easy although not by the friendliest of people. It was a bit noisy with people coming in and out but I felt safe.

Avoid

Avoid unless you don't mind a hostel aetup with noise late at night and puke in the toilets.

This was my first experience with a hostel. It was a clean and seemingly well kept property. I felt safe in the neighborhood and in my room. The biggest drawback was one of four roommates was inconsiderate of the others in the room turning on the light and leaving it on as she ran in and out of the room.
Karen, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Staff weren't friendly at all. Toilets were only clean few few hours in the morning before they were all dirty again and no regular cleaning happened. The rooms are very small and the whole layout of the place is cold and ugly.

WiFi is not free and I don’t recommend to buy it as it’s poor quality. The worse thing than that is you barely use any of the big 3 carriers in the UK there. I used Google Fi roaming and tried EE, O2, Three, but none of them worked properly. You have to think you can’t use internet inside the building.

4/10 Fair

My wife and I stayed in a room of this place for one night. Room was so small and wasn't match with the photos shown on website. No table or chair was available in the room despite showing on photos of website. No flip-flops was provided so you can't take a shower! Cups and dishes put in the room were so dusty! It was a quiet place to sleep though. Receptionists weren't helpful and their behaviour wasn't respectful at all. All in all, we paid 80 pounds for a night and the value of service we received doesn't worth it at all so that the highest rate we can give to the value of service for our money is 2 out of 5. We don't recommend this place for yoir journey to London.

I was very happy with the overall experience. I’m glad I was in the room I was in as it was in the quiet part of the building. It was a great price and very conveniently located to the station.

Works as a roof over your head in a great location

The room felt clean and was a nice place to come back to after a long day. It wouldn't be suitable for anyone looking for luxury but is totally fine as a roof over your head. We didn't end up using the kitchen facilities, but the bathroom facilities were all fine. There was noise around the place but usually only until around 10:30pm and then around 10am in the morning again, with only one time there was a lot of noise around 6am for about 20 minutes. But overall one of the quieter hostels I've been in! The lift is very very small, it says it can fit four people but at one stage I was in it with two others and it was super cramped. If you have a big suitcase or a wheelchair it might be tricky - although there could have been a bigger lift, we didn't ask! Also on accessability, just a note that the doors can be tricky to open from the inside, there's not a normal handle on it, it's like a little knob that you have to twist and could be hard to open! They also slam and that happens a lot but the noise didn't bother us, just a personal thing to gauge wherhter that would suit you or not. I felt safe there, but was with my male partner so I'm not sure how I would have felt as a solo female but probably fine once I'd settled in. It's just a few minutes walk from the Hammersmith station so the location. I would go back again if I needed to stay in London on a tight budget or had business in Hammersmith, but would probably splash out for a little nicer place if I had the money.

Not enough showers; sometimes missing warm water and not too clean toilets. Otherwise a good place to stay. The place is well located

It’s good for travelers who don’t want to pay a lot for living
Jizeng, 6-night trip

2/10 Poor

On arrival at 8pm was told isn’t wasn’t possible to check in and needed to wait as the manager had gone to the shop, by the time the manager arrived back with primark bag in hand the reception area was full of people wanting to check in or collect luggage. What is the point of leaving someone to man the reception area who has limited English and couldn’t actually help anyone

Abercorn House is a very basic hotel with shared toilets and bathrooms which was a shock to me. However the staff are very pleasant and the cleanness was excellent. The location is great for the underground station. The hotel was cheap compared to others but you get what you paid for. I would use this hotel again
Elaine, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

When I checked in I got the room 1st floor near the reseption, but in a minute I realized I can hear clearly every word spoken in the lobby. So I asked if I can have a room somewhere higher, and it was possible. Very happy about that! Hotel's location was good (near Hammersmith tube station) and neigbourhood was peaceful. I was able to keep window open without any traffic noise (actually at first evening there were birds singing somewhere near, which was nice welcome). The bed was comfortable (room could have been more clean, I didn't want to touch anything but maybe it's just over hygienic me) and I liked the fridge so I was able to store my breakfast things. Own bathroom was also good to have (though there were cup of water in the trash bin...) There were kitchens at the aisle where I used the toaster. But because of other guests the kitchens weren't that clean. And my neighbours next door didn't realize the walls are paper thin so one night I started my night with earplugs. And at first night there were a fire alarm at 1 am! I didn't quite get out of my room when the alarm went off. In the morning I asked and was told that some guest had lighted a cigarette... Fortunately that didn't happen again!
