The resort was beautiful. Location and setup was very relaxing. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. Rooms were okay and bathroom can still be improved. But overall, amenities were excellent. We got to use the kayaks (which were free of charge). Pool was clean however lacks some signages about the depth. One pool, which we guessed was used for scuba practice, was about 12 feet deep. I was shocked when I first jumped in. Good thing we knew how to swim. We tried to reach the bottom, but felt claustrophobic since there were no lights either. No wonder no one was swimming on that side of the pool.
If there was one bad thing about the place, it'll probably be the price of the food. Well, most of the guests we saw were foreigners, so prices wouldn't be that much of a problem for them. But for Filipinos, meals and drinks were just overpriced (1 mug of hot chocolate aka Milo is priced at around P270).
If we were given the chance to go back to Sunset, we definitely would. However, next time, we'll be more prepared by bringing light snacks and drinks (they do not have house water btw), and probably getting a motorcycle or bringing a car since a tricycle ride to white beach costs P100. You can walk to and from white beach along the shore but you would have to pass lots and lots of big rocks. For a hiker, it's not much of a problem. But for my girl friend, it was a long long way to go. You can also walk along the road where cars and tricycles pass, but the road goes up and down
