Clean and nice room. But bottom floor was really noisy as the flooring and plumbing can be heard from upper room. And the maid came in and woke us up again after the guest departed. Get a 2nd floor room

Allenberry is a beautiful property on the Yellow Breeches. It is very picturesque with immaculate landscaping, charming views including fly fishermen along the creek running along the property, and gorgeous old stone buildings housing the hotel rooms and restaurant. We will return.

Beautiful setting and facilities. Fantastic customer service response. Even if there were hiccups - and there were - they did an excellent job to find a solution to it. It's a lovely, quiet little place to stay and I will certainly go back when I stay over in the greater Carlisle area.

It was so good. The place is great. It was the peaceful getaway we were looking for. Walks by the stream we’re our favorite. We didn’t even get to take advantage of half the stuff available. We would love to come back and see a show in the playhouse!

My husband and I both really liked the old fashioned buildings and atmosphere! It was almost like a trip back in time to an era not as complex and hurried as our world is today. Yet, everything was clean, neat, and pleasing to the eye! All the staff were lovely in the dining area, and children were welcomed and accommodated for. There was a nice warm entry lounge with a fireplace, in the stone lodge we stayed in, & also in the main lodge. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend the Allenberry Resort to anyone looking for a rustic, serene place to stay for a respite from our busy world.

Sleep In Not happening

The grounds are beautiful and kept up very nice. We really only needed a bed to sleep in, because during the day we were at a friends house. The bed was nice and comfortable, but we were on the lower level and the sounds of the people above us were a annoying, heard every step they took and they started around 6 am and kept going. So we couldn't sleep in. The place was super clean. The shower needs a little work with the pressure it was so low it took extra time to rinse off. Didn't see much of the rest of the resort but what we did see looked interesting if we had more time to see it all. If we go again, we will ask for floor upstairs and spend more time visiting the whole resort

Enchanted get away.

Overall a beautiful place to stay. The pool is currently closed but looks nice. The grounds are wonderful with the river running through and multiple places with fire pits and wood staged for a fire. The only area for improvement would have to be the room service, our beds weren’t made each morning unlike at most hotels we’ve stayed at. There is an absolutely fantastic restaurant on site for dinner with an incredible wait staff. The view of the grounds is enchanting with lights strung between the trees. They also do an excellent coffee and breakfast in the morning, the cafe is next to the restaurant by reception and I highly recommend trying the breakfast bowl.

Very Disappointing

We had a very disappointing experience. While the setting of the Inn is lovely, the room was sub-standard. The bathroom was tiny and not designed by anyone who subsequently used it. There was no cold water in the shower so a sponge bath was the only alternative. The room was sterile with few amenities: no carpeting, inadequate door locks and a cutesy piece of fence as a headboard. But if you like hearing train whistles through the night, this place is for you. However, we would strongly recommend the on-site restaurant: the cocktails, wine selection and food were excellent. And our server was welcoming and knowledgeable. We'll be back again for dinner, but find another place to stay.
