Staff was very nice. Place was very close to the boardwalk and especially for beach blast soccer. The double room is quite small and tight to manuever in for 2 people. The floors were quite dirty when I had to wipe up leaking water from the rainstorm from the window.

My stay at the Calypso was awesome. The locations is great and the amenities in my room were excellent. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. And there was plenty of parking. I would recommend the Calypso and its sister properties based on my experience. Thank you management!

The front desk staff was friendly. If they forgot something you in your room, such as an ice bucket or batteries in the tv remote they quickly solved the problem and everything was taken care of. The provided a nice welcome bag of flyers of things to do in the area if you needed activities to do. The room was a bit small, but had everything you needed to spend the weekend there and was organized so you couldn’t trip.

The hotel is a registered historic building, so it’s not modern. BUT the room was freshly painted and super clean. Fixtures were a little dated, but again, clean and well cared for. 2 minute walk to the boardwalk, and in easy walking distance to restaurants, etc. we parked our car when we arrived and didn’t move it until we checked out. My only complaint is they provide a coffee maker, but no coffee. Had to run to the bodega at 9:30 at night.

I felt unsafe in this hotel. Their was a strange man stalking my family and taking videos of us. In the middle of the night i heard a lady singing loudly in the hallways. You have to go across the street to go into the pool. You have to park your car a block away.

Covered the basics

I stayed for one night with my two sons (one adult son/one 12-year-old). It did the job. I was looking for something clean, close to the beach and quiet during normal sleeping hours. The room is small, but it worked for us. I wouldn't recommend if you are looking for all the bells and whistles. I would however highly recommend if you were looking to spend less for a place that is clean, close to the beach and boardwalk. Basically, somewhere descent to shower and crash after being out enjoying the fun.

Not a hotel, definitely a motel

Pay for the suite, it's not much more and the room is much bigger; the regular room is extremely small It was clean and everything worked fine, but if you're looking for a fancier place (hotel) this isn't it. For the going rate in the area, it was good. Only gripe was the pool...there wasn't one. We were allowed to use the pool at the Quebec Motel across the street. The pool was crowded, small, & there was no place to sit down or put your towel...except hang it on the fence.

Broke my Heart

I have been here at least 7 time, and this is the first we did not enjoy the trip because of the room. Too small for price and no dinner table to enjoy dinner with my wife. The bed on has one exited to get out to go to the restroom. Because of this room my wife and I will not be coming back again anytime soon.

The thing I would change is more staff to clean the rooms in the morning hours instead of mid afternoon. Also, there were exposed wires underneath my ac unit and my little ones were very curious about them. Definitely need to address that. Other than that I really liked this hotel. Loved the distance from there to the boardwalk and also the pool was great too! I’d stay here again for sure, they just need to make some adjustments, especially with the exposed wires.
