We stayed here for three nights split into two stays with our Halong Bay cruise in between them. We wanted to travel light for the boat and the hotel had no issue in keeping our suitcases safely locked away for us.

One of the front desk managers , Sophie (I guess this as she wore a smart business suit compared to the others who were in traditional Ao Dai outfits), went out of her way to make sure we got our Halong Bay tour bus. As it was a bigger bus it couldn’t come down our tight street so she took the call from our guide and then personally escorted us with one of the doorman up to the corner where she had arranged for us to be picked up. The room was modern in a classic French style and everything worked perfectly. It was small but it was what we paid for and what you expect in a major city where land is precious. We actually got an upgrade to same room type but a better view on both occasions, one with lake views on the top floor. Very comfortable with a great walk in shower and top notch bed and bedding.
Breakfast is on the twelfth floor so you get awesome views of the city and Lake Hoan Kiem. Staff are very friendly and very attentive and switched on. Barista coffee is available at an extra cost, but the included coffee and tea will be refilled regularly at your table by one of the numerous vigilant team members.
