We stayed at the Paraíso Maya, the highest tear that we were able to stay 3 in a room (Grand was for adult/couples). It is a 5 hotel complex that shared the common areas like spa, gym, church, shopping mall. Depending on which tear you are in you have access to the different restaurants and pools. Food in the restaurants we tried was good with the exception of the Geisha (Japanese) and L’Etoile (French) which were not good. El Museo was the best, we went twice an I can say the is food was amazing. There is a good walk distance to anywhere pools and the beach. We were with my 80 year old mother who has some difficulty walking so it was challenging. They use golf carts to shorten the distance but most of them were for “socios” ( timeshare owners) or you would have to wait for more then 20 minutes sometimes. Shows like the Celebration of Mexican Independence was nice but again with no thought for an elderly person that may need to sit down. Room was nice, not new but in very good condition.
It is a nice place. Would I go back? Not sure as it did not give me the wow factor. Would recommend, yes.
