Amazing service. The staff work hard to make your stay better. The property isn’t bad, however, there is a roach problem for sure. The rooms are really unique. Could use a little upgrading though.

8/10 Very good

Older, comfortable place at a reasonable price

The hotel is an older property that has been maintained adequately though it could use a fresh coat of paint in places. The main advantage is that the rooms are large and the walls are thick, making for a quiet experience. The location is good though entrance to the property is from a single, easy to miss driveway off a one-way feeder road; you have to keep your eyes peeled, otherwise it can take a while to get back there.

DO NOT STAY HERE

The floor and bed was flooded with water. There were giant bugs everywhere
PETER, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

My room had amenities that I would expect to see in a room priced 2 to 3 times more than this room was priced. The building is an older building situated next to I35 South which appears to be in a renovation stage. The only thing that was a little lacking was the parking area, but still quite acceptable.

The hotel offered a "15 minute review of your room to decide if you wanted to stay." I chose to not stay. The room was dirty. The window unit AC made the window unsecured.

Don’t Stay here!

Terrible, room smelled and we had to request another room. There was one pillow and two towels for the king sized room. Internet did not work, pool and jacuzzi closed and no breakfast as advertised. Very disappointed.

Scary

First room had a broken door handle we couldn’t go into the room. The 2nd room was still dirty from last tenants and stunk of smoke. The 3rd room was finally clean. But overall the hotel was old dated and run down. I did not feel safe there.

The property is not fit to be on Expedia. It’s a result of cutting corners on DIY projects using old and unsanitary items. Bloodstains on the mattresses. Dirty linen. Shady guests. Poor repairs. I walked away and booked another hotel out of pocket.

Worst experience at a hotel

Canceled reservation when after checking in. I had 15 mito go to the room, check it out to cancel. Room was dirty, Maintenance man couldn’t get the tv remote to work, he was changing light bulbs and light still didn’t work. So I decided not to stay.

The staff was nice. And now for the property and rooms. The pictures on the website are NOT up to date. I repeat. What you see. Is not what you get. The aroma of cigarette smell is seeped into the walls. If you have asthma, I would completely avoid. The windows are held by nails. To better describe this place. It should be charged by the hour. If you catch my drift. Definitely not a “boutique hotel”

The zen selling point is a scam. The rooms are not individually decorated as described. The lobby upon entry is covered in water under the rug with no steps to keep it tidy. There is a mandatory additional deposit to pay at check in (refundable) that doesn’t make sense since the stay is prepaid. The room was dirty; behind the nightstands were not vacuumed, hair on the sheets. The only good thing about the room was the shower looked as it had been recently renovated and was to my expectation. The ac window unit had impressively prevalent levels of mold that were visible on the outside and inside of the vents. This place is an absolute scam for what we paid. Do NOT stay here. It’s no better than a motel 6. I will not be staying here again. Very run down and not well kept.

RUN. AWAY.

My husband and I checked into the jacuzzi room for our ANNIVERSARY, and checked out an hour later. When we first walked in we noticed two of the lights in the room weren’t working so it was extremely dark. One above the bed wasn’t working, and one of the lamps in the corner. ALSO, there was no smoke detector, which was above the bed, and the wires were just hanging out right over our heads! When I walked into the bathroom, there were two MORE lights out, the one over the shower, and the makeup mirror. And for some reason there were several holes in the wall from what I can only assume were appliances taken off the wall. PLUS the toilet clearly hadn’t been cleaned as there were SKID MARKS from the previous person!! BARF!! The toilet paper hadn’t been replaced, and the towels hadn’t been replaced! My husband ran in and said, “We’re leaving. There’s a handprint on the wall above the bed.” And sure enough. In addition to all this, the jacuzzi “fan dry” setting came on loudly every 10 mins and sounded like a loud ass hair dryer. So I thought, “And how many times is that gonna wake us up while we sleep??” So yeah. We checked out after an hour and went back home. Thank goodness we’re only 30 mins away. RUN, y’all!! This place needs to be condemned.
Skid marks, y’all. Right as we walked in.
One light out and no smoke detector with exposed wires above the bed.
Instead of having a proper seal between electrical components of the tub and the rest of the room, they wrapped CARPET STRIPS around it!

Did not stay the night, disgusting and scary.

Usually I am not one to be picky about hotels, but this place was way off the mark. The pictures online did not represent the state of the room I received. The biggest issues were security; the locking bar on the door was broken off presumably from forced entry, and was not replaced (see pictures), and the door next to ours had impact marks as if someone tried to beat it down. Second main issue was cleanliness, the sheets were full of hair, the blinds had all sorts of stains on them, the shower was still wet, and everything was generally dirty. Thirdly, the AC did not work. And finally, and this is just me being nitpicky but this is where I said the room was not adequately represented in the photos online, as the fixtures in the room were either missing or janky (see the exterior porch light next to the bed, canted at an angle, and the switch blanking plate poorly covering a hole where the other one should be. Screw holes all over the walls, and generally just a "landlord special" appearance all over. I'm sure this was a nice hotel at one point, but it looks like it hasn't got the maintenance it needs in years. The only good thing was that the desk staff were very kind and helpful, and allowed me to check out early. She wrote my complaints down, whether anything was done with them, I don't know. Unfortunately she informed me that I would have to seek a refund through Hotels.com, so here is to hoping I can get that done...

Insane circumstance

The hotel burned down because of a fire two days before my stay. I’m honestly not sure what the protocol would be after this happens but I was not informed by anyone and was just luckily informed by my own being and research. I contacted hotels.com and they were unaware and did not provide any help. I would like a full refund because I did not stay.

The room was held together by tape… I booked last minute for Valentine’s Day since my hubby wanted a room with a tub. I found this and thought it was a good price. The tub worked, but instead of a faucet to fill it up, there was an unfinished plastic pvc pipe contraption. I asked for another room thinking that this was unacceptable, but the other room he showed me was creepy. There was a two way mirror in front of the tub, that faced the other room. It was also old smelled of mold and looked like it had been painted by kids. Not what we’re into… ok pvc pipe room it is. Everything was ok, except I couldn’t help but notice there were an absence of women? Why were there so many men there? Idk. Felt creepy but I was with hubby, so ok… in the morning(valentines day) the manager came knocking, and tried to ENTER the room with his card 1 hour before check out. I was not dressed yet, and found it really weird that he knew we were in the room and tried to open the door anyways…. He asked if we were going to stay another night…. Why wouldn’t he call the room? Why didn’t he knock I twice? Why did he need to know this in advance? It was not check out time yet… all questions left unanswered. We checked out in time and when leaving I found a sharp (aka a used injection needle) in the tisssue box that I had been wiping my nose with all night. This was really creepy, unsanitary, and unsafe. Tahanj go we made it out alive. When I told the front desk about it, they did not seem v. Shocked.
