Fine
The apartment was nice but with a couple nuances. We were on something like the 8th floor with a sketchy very tiny elevator. The apartment was farther from the city center than the office which was a bit more inconvenient and would have been nice to know before hand. The bed rooms were quite small but had the beds we were expecting and everything was clean. We didn't really need anything from the office except for a maintenance request which was done fairly quickly.

Fantastic location right on Las Ramblas
You have to report to the office first, which is quite a distance away, for the apartment assignment. We had a lot of bags so took a cab to the office, and then had to do it again to the apartment. Beware that check in is not until 1:00pm, something that wasn't specified, although I pleaded and they were nice and let us wait in the flat until it was cleaned. There are 2 small elevators that will hold 2 people at a time. One of them was out of service, so with our baggage we had to stagger our initial elevator ride to the 5th floor. There were lots of sketchy looking wires hanging out of the ceiling in the lobby by the elevators, too. With all of that I was a little unsure of what the apartment was going to be like, but it turned out to be fine. Small, but clean and very functional-the kitchen was especially nice and well equipped with new appliances. There was a small flat screen tv and dvd player, and IKEA type furniture. I've never rented a vacation apartment before and now I will probably try it again. The location was the best thing about this place!

God beliggendehed - super rent
God beliggenhed - absolut. God størrelse for 3-4 personer. Super ren lejlighed. Ligger på 6.etage, men ingen problem med elevator. Terrasse som vender mod syd/vest - perfekt! Stuen mangler en ekstra sofa, - men det er også det ENESTE forslag til forbedring jeg kan nævne.

호텔닷컴에 컴플레인예정!! 위치가 말도 안되는곳에 아파트를 마치 까딸루냐광장바로 옆인것처럼 올려놓고 찾아보나걸어서40분거리에 위치!! 호텔닷컴은 이런건 확인안하나?? 일욜 도착해 전화연결도 쉽지않고 겨우연락되니 짐끌고40분걸어오게함 전혀 아닌곳에위치한 아파트 정말황당그자체!

Beliggenheden af hotellejligheden var fin. Dejligt roligt. I gåafstand fra centrum. Der var noget koldt i lejligheden da vi kom og det var lidt svært at få det varmt nok. Fint med 2 badeværelser. Køkkenet fungerede ok Der manglede dog almindelige ting som en opvaskebørste etc. Et par af sengene var dårlige på gr. af dårlig polstring. Stuen var ok størrelse men med meget slidte orange lænestole ellers ok. Alt i alt fint til prisen og vi nød vores ophold. hilsen Hanne Møller

Decent apartment right in the centre of town
Firstly. The 'location' of the apartment is rather misleading. We booked as two groups and assumed that we had booked apartments together. In actual fact the 'location' was merely the location of the apartment's office. We were only informed of apartment location on receipt of the agreements. This is where we found out that we were a mile or so apart. Not ideal, but also not a major issue.

Spacious and comfortable stay
The apartment has excellent location. It is a block away from Ramblas(the residential part) and a short walk to Passeig de Gracia and Casa Battlo. When we arrived the office( which is about €4 taxi ride away from the apartment), the office staff informed us that the apartment is still being cleaned and asked us to go to the apartment in an hour. As we were tired from a flight from Pisa, we requested to just wait in the apartment while it is being cleaned. We waited in the living room while the bedrooms and bathrooms were being prepared by the cleaning lady. She even showed me how to operate the washing machine so I was able to do my laundry as we were waiting. We are a family of 4 so 2 stayed in the bedroom with a big bed and 2 stayed in the pull out bed couch, which was small for 2 adults. There was a futton which my son found comfortable after trying it out on the 3rd night. The internet connection, provided by a wireless box, was not fast, but decent. There is a small mercato, which is open 24 hours, right beside the apartment. I was able to get grocery items, fruits, ham, bread and cheese from that store. The apartment had a microwave and cooking paraphernalia which we used for preparing breakfast and small meals. The location is safe and the double doors made us mire secure. I would definitely stay in this apartment again.

It was a very good place but they should show the real adress of the apartament because they show the adress of the office in the advise and the real place is far away to the center we have to take metro to go.

Great Value
We stayed at the apts as an alternative to a hotel. We are a family of 4 and it was a much better value for the money. We would definately stay here again if ever in Barcelona.

Not as Advertised, Old Town Apartments, Avoid
When you book an apartment with Old Town Apartments you are not booking a place located where the Map shows. This is a small room/office on the 3rd floor of a building that is very hard to find. When you check in they then direct you to a hotel somewhere else in Barcelona. You need to then take a taxi at your cost to that location. Our apartment was not close at all to the Rambla, and the pictures shown are not accurate. The place we ended up in was a very run down apartment with an A/C unit that ran non-stop without cooling the apartment.

Not bad, but misleading
The apartment was fine - nothing fancy, but clean. The pictures and location information is very misleading. We arrived at the address provided to meet a very friendly gentleman that told us the actual location of our 2 apartments was about 10 minutes away by car. We had given away our cab, so we had to get another cab to go the 10 minutes. We had friends in another apartment that were located a 10 minute walk away. The pictures went with that apartment only. The two we had for the larger group were much more plain and not as comfortable. Although we found all this out once we got there, the apartments were located in a good area, were very clean and fine for us. Be sure to keep your cabs when you show up to get your keys and if going with a group and need more than one apartment, be sure to book in the same reservation to have a better chance of being in the same building. We are very seasoned travelers, so we were able to get over the issues we were faced with up front. We only stayed one night, so I don't know if they have cleaning service every day or not.

Old Town Apartments participates in the international apartment rental association called ApartmentsApart.com. The apartment that we rented was called Sol B 4 and was located here This apartment is located literallly across the street from north border of the Eixample area. It is within walking distance of Casa Mil? and a good walk to the Rambla. It took us (and by us I mean wife, 4.75 and 1.5 year old son, and me) 10 minutes to walk to the Metro and 5 minutes to walk to the bus stop going south and 1 minute to the bus stop going north. We had two grocery stores within 5 minutes, cafes, bakery, butcher, restaurants, gelato, La Placa del Sol all less than 5 minutes walking distance. Essentially, this apartment is in the heart of one of the central residential areas of Barcelona - the area is called Garcia - and it is a beautiful area. The apartment is Sol B 4 and the apartment is completely new. It is a wonderful apartment. We ate most of our dinners there and all of our breakfasts there. The apartment is large and open. The kitchen has everything you could need to cook, the window blinds are all electrical and controlled from 'light switches'. This can be dangerous for kids because the windows have no barriers, and therefore I recommend that whenever the kids are sleeping to go to the circuit breaker near the front door and shut off the power to the window blinds. There was one extremely minor defect in this apartment: the molding on the kitchen door was broken making the closing of the kitchen door impossible.

It took us (and by us I mean wife, 4.75 and 1.5 year old son, and me) 10 minutes to walk to the Metro and 5 minutes to walk to the bus stop going south and 1 minute to the bus stop going north. Essentially, this apartment is in the heart of one of the central residential areas of Barcelona - the area is called Garcia - and it is a beautiful area. The apartment is Sol B 4 and if you look at the webpage, apartmentsapart.com, you can see that the apartment is completely new. It is a wonderful apartment. We ate most of our dinners there and all of our breakfasts there. The apartment is large and open. The kitchen has everything you could need to cook, the window blinds are all electrical and controlled from 'light switches'. This can be dangerous for kids because the windows have no barriers, and therefore I recommend that whenever the kids are sleeping to go to the circuit breaker near the front door and shut off the power to the window blinds. There was one extremely minor defect in this apartment: the molding on the kitchen door was broken making the closing of the kitchen door impossible.
