Unfortunately, this was the worst W experience I've ever had.
When I checked in, there was blood on the sheets and curtains. It took over an hour for someone to come and clean it, with no offer to change rooms or provide any compensation from the front desk.
The hotel overall feels quite worn down. The lobby bar is nice, but the smell in the area is very unpleasant.
Two weeks after checkout, I received an unexpected invoice and a $150 charge to my credit card for what was allegedly a laundry fee. There’s no way to contact the hotel directly—only a phone number to an overseas call center. After three calls, someone finally tried to assist. I was sent a copy of a receipt that wasn’t even in my name.
Despite several attempts, I never received a reply to my follow-up emails. Eventually, I gave up and had to accept that W Fort Lauderdale charged me for something I had nothing to do with.
Extremely disappointing experience.
