Great location but old, tired and worn out facilities. Overpriced due to lack of other options in the area. Should be either much cheaper or demolished and rebuilt to current standards.

Check-in was easy, staff was pleasant and welcoming. Our room was nice and the view of the Pacific was great. Nice balcony to have coffee on in the morning. Laundry machines worked just fine. The building is old, so we had low expectations when we saw it, but everything was really nice - especially for a beachside hotel. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was delicious and we appreciated the breakfast voucher. My wife and I agreed that we would stay here again and recommend it to others.

Great!!

Very convenient for our trip to Oregon. Beach access and nearby Sand Dunes activities. Great in general.

Front desk staff was welcoming and helpful. Beautiful view of the ocean. We even made it to see the sunset! Would definitely stay here again.

Was ok, clean a little run down. Didn't care for the restaurant. Not much selection, no ambiance. No a/c, so had to leave sliding door open with no screen. We were on the 3rd floor so no problem but a little creeped out. No bugs or birds came in. Bed was very comfortable.

Very nice place

The room was very nice. Up to date furnishings and very clean. Bed was comfortable. The view was great. We had a bottom floor room and it had a sliding glass door that opened on to the grass that led to a very short walk to the beach. They have a bistro on the property. You order at the counter and can eat there or take it back to your room. Food was very good with many gluten free options that I require. They serve alcohol also.

Just ok

We felt like the customer service was lacking, seemed like they were short staffed. Pool and hot tub were both down for repairs… maybe none of it was avoidable. The food in the Bistro attached to the hotel was good.

Don’t be swayed by the views and location!

Disappointing experience. Location was amazing right on the beach with water views, but the running and operation of the hotel was well below par! Check in was from 4pm. Problem was that everyone was checking in at that time and they only had one staff member on at reception. We waited 40 minutes to be served and we were 4th in line! There were another 6 people behind us! Another worker went behind reception and asked the person processing guests if they were on their own, then they grabbed some letters out of the cupboard, called someone to come and help and walked off. The Bistro was the same story. One person taking orders, one person delivering our orders to our table and another came out a couple of times to clear plates. My order was incorrect and two other people had orders for someone else placed in front of them. The room - dusty. Don’t know the last time it was really cleaned. Heating only and so the room was stuffy at night because you could not keep the door open on the ground floor. I don’t know how this would work during the warmer months with no cooling? Bistro at breakfast. We went to get a coffee to go at 7am. The person taking our orders asked us if we were eating and then said ‘because I’m the only one here at the moment and we can’t cook anything’!!! The bistro had about 20 people there … how can you afford to not have paying guests!!! Total disappointment. Would not recommend staying here … don’t be swayed by the location and view.

Amazing stay

We picked the smaller bed to share to get a room with a view weren't disappointed. The hotel opened right up to the beach.

Don't Use The Restaurant

The room was okay. No AC, which is typical for the Oregon coast. The biggest issue was the restaurant. They only have one, and to be frank it is horrific. We arrived at 6pm, seated ourselves, cleaned our own table off (it was pretty bad). Ordered at 620. Fish and chips, shrimp basket, and cheeseburger. Took 90 minutes to get our food and it was inedible. Everything was clearly out of a box (including the burger patty). We got our own drinks from a little to go fridge and left. We wont be conducting any further business trips at this location.

Great view!

The ocean view is great! It was why we chose this hotel and we would do it again. The hotel does not have air conditioning, which we didn't realize until after we got to our room, but they were happy to bring us a fan and it cooled off quickly once the sun went down. We also appreciated the nice bistro attached/next door so we didn't have to go anywhere for dinner.

Dog friendly

Our room's ocean view was actually a large sand dune but we did have a peek of the waves. They were very accommodating of our pup, with her own sheet, towel, biscuit, and poop bags.

Overpriced for dated small rooms

Pros: -Beachside location -Quiet area -Nice indoor pool and hottub. Cons: -Worn and dated property with far too high of a price. -Small cramped rooms with small uncomfortable beds (i have knots in my back and neck in the morning) -No air conditioning or dehumidifier means get ready for a muggy, damp stay and a sweaty night (Your swimsuits will never dry) which might explain why ... -Matress smells of old musty sweat -The restaurant inexplicably closes at 6 and the nearest dining is a 15 min drive in downtown florence. -Slow check in and slow service at the restaurant counter due to single staff member -Overall an unpleasant and underwhelming stay given the price paid. Feels more like a $100 price point than double that.

Friendly but so dated

This hotel is a throw back to 25 years ago. At once point it was new and not much else has changed. Just know that it is dated. The staff was friendly and it in convenient to have a restaurant there, but we found the restaurant so chaotic for breakfast. It took us 25 minutes just to get smoothies.

I had the worst dining experience I’ve ever had in the bistro. I waited for over an hour for some fish and chips. They said my ticket didn’t print. Said they would refund my credit card, but they did not. Everything else was good.
