Hotel was under construction when we stayed there for two nights. It will be a very nice place after construction. Easy to reach by car, parking in the courtyard. Clean room, firm and comfortable beds, good shower. We basically just slept at the hotel and them spent time exploring the city. Recommend.

The service, location, cleanliness and hospitality is simply spectacular particularly after having been through such a terrible and frightening experience with OCAK APARTMENT AND HOTEL BERLIN where I stayed for 4 days. I was looking forward to a European hotel experience and what i got was horrific. You will never go wrong with a US hotel, for sure. I booked a double room in middle of February 2024, and was at first shocked at the somewhat dilapidated entrance with bordered up windows. However, once we walked in to the main lobby, it felt like a cosy place to stay. The room was simple, elegant with a high ceiling, and well equipped save for the lack of an electric kettle. The breakfast buffet was widespread and delicious, which acted as a great start to our day in Berlin

I had to book this hotel very last minute. I didn’t have a chance to read the many reviews stating that they don’t have heating or hot water in some of the rooms. Unfortunately, I was not able to stay in a place that doesn’t have heating or hot water in the city that can get as cold as Berlin.

Bad service. Asked for a ventilator twice and didn’t receive it. AC was not working and room felt like a boiler at night, even with windows open. At night they keep a 3rd party service that doesn’t know anything to help the guests.

I recently stayed in this hotel and I was traveling solo. In contrary to some of the reviews my stay was really good. Here is what I liked and what need some TLC: Convenient location: It’s not in central Berlin, however I got a great rate for the room so I gave it a try. It’s about 10 min walking from Bornhomer Stranbe train station which is about 6 stops from Brandenburger Tor (center). I still have it fresh in memory because I was just there a few days ago. In terms of safety, I don’t think I’ll navigate the area at night by myself but that is usually everywhere I go by myself. This area was populated mostly with middle eastern people from what I saw so this is what the food choices mostly are like Arab,Turkish etc. If you don’t want the hassle of traveling, book something closer to central. For me it was fine as I was using the public transportation all day long. If you are in a budget, this is a great option as the conditions were excellent/spacious room etc. TLC: The hotel needs some updates like the entrance glass needs fixing/the elevator was taking a little longer as it’s only one. If I find another great deal, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Kudos to reception: very polite

'Kurt Cobain shotgun' psychedelic Overnight-Stay

Also, ein Mal reicht mir hier, komme nicht wieder. Zuerst zum Positiven: Der Service-Desk war super, die Matratze war sehr gut und die ÖPNV-Anbindung gut - mehr kann ich hier nicht beisteuern. Dann das Negative: Das Hotel ist ein alter Bunker, total verwinkelt und meine Dachmansardenkammer - mit Zimmernummer vom 5. Stock aber am Ende des vierten Stocks - ein 'schönes Einzelzimmer' - war mit das schlechteste 'sleeping hole', welches ich jemals hatte. Wäre Kurt Cobain mit seiner Schrotflinte in Berlin auf der Suche nach einem Zimmer gewesen, um in den 'club 27' einzutreten, er wäre mit diesem Zimmer fündig geworden. Das ekliche Highlight war allerdings der billige (alte?) Duschvorhang der sich mit von hinten beim Duschen ständig um den Körper gewickelt hat wie ein Alien, das meinen Körper besetzen will- wuuuhaaahh! Kurz: Erfahrung 'once in my lifetime', never come back.
