Our stay at the Hotel Condor was remarkable! The highlight was definitely the amazing breakfast prepared each morning. It was a buffet of local flavors, sweets, meats and cheeses, and on and on. And all of it was absolutely delicious! The hostess brought us unending coffees as long as we wanted, and the eating location is up on the rooftop terrace with an amazing view of the sea and city below.
The staff at the front desk spoke English and were full of information and help whenever we needed something. The room was simple but clean and comfortable. There is an elevator suitable for two people at a time, which we used after longer days of walking.
Walking into town only takes a few minutes, and right down the hill from the hotel is an extensive grocery store that looks small but has all the food you could imagine inside. There is also a 24 hr snack machine(s) across from the grocery, and a restaurant and a pizza place immediately down the hill from the grocery store before you get into town. All very convenient.
Everywhere in Taormina has hills and parking is difficult, so get those legs strengthened before your trip! There is a plethora of shopping and sights to walk through and places to eat.
Highly recommend this hotel on all counts!
