This place has deteriorated beyond my tolerance
I've stayed here each August for the past 9 years for business. It has gone way down. On checkin, the clerk was not friendly but it went okay. The lobby is just plain tacky, the elevator floor was dirty, the temp in the hallways was way hot, the no-smoking sign on the door was broken, and the hallway garbage cans were overflowing. When I unlocked the door, I had to use my shoulder to get it open. It was stuck. The top latch was broken off. Someone had crammed a twisted paper towel in the missing peephole. I left it. There were many cosmetic issues...molding missing, holes and scrapes in the wall, stains on the ceiling and carpet, and more. Bed and bathroom appeared clean, but with peeling paint and missing chunks of sheetrock, who knows? The toilet paper holder was broken. The TV remote didn't work from the bed. A white box and many cables hung down from the back of the TV. When I tried to move the box to see if it helped the remote, the TV picture went off. Buttons on the air conditioner were missing along with labeling, but I was finally able to get it going. It was easily 90 degrees in the room when I arrived. There was a broken unplugged clock radio on the desk. I had ONE bath towel in a king room. There was no shampoo, but two small lotions. Breakfast had two cereal choices, Frosted Flakes and Fruit Loops, very watered-down orange juice, but no artificial sweeteners, just plain sugar. I didn't complain. Most couldn't be easily fixed and I was tired. I will not be back.
