You always had to wait at the front desk for support. Wienzeile in front of the hotel is basically a highway. There we no amenities such as rental bikes. The interior design felt really outdated and at times quite kitsch. A leather pouf with a BSDM belt around it. Feels like out of a "50 Shades of Grey" novel.

The Renaissance Wein is a lovely modern hotel with an artistic touch. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. It’s located across the street from the train station and once you figured out how to get to the Alt Stadt all was great.

The body wash was not replenished for two days and was replenished only after tipping. The room was not cleaned for one day. I told the front desk but they just gave me 2 towels. I expected salmon for breakfast but it was disappointing as it was just basic egg and bacon dishes. Everything else was good.

The renaissance was great for our large family (triple rooms!). I need a fridge for insulin and these rooms had it, although I was disappointed that no employee could fine a freezer for my ice packs for traveling with insulin. Housekeeping always forgot to refill things in the room but they were quick to respond when I called. Great location for the ubahn with grocery stores and restaurants close by. Would stay again without hesitation.

Stayed there for 5 days. On day 2 or 3 tissue box run out and never got refilled. Also toilet paper..well if stayed for 1 more day we would have run out of that too. Raised questions about the cleaningness as a whole ;( other than that the hotel is highly recommended. Friendly people, good bed, good food.

Unfortunately Marriott forgot the Renaissance was a high end brand, actually switched from Hilton because of our previous experience, unfortunately the service wasn't great. Tne checkin was bad, the housekeeping showed up at 730 pm and offered towels, woke us up the next day early, and bar staff was scattered. Needs an intervention! Happy we havent booked any more Marriott property this trip.
