First impressions
Arrived on Sat 23rd Aug at approx 2.30pm - first impressions: entrance, waiting/dinning area dirty and in need of vacuuming, dusty chairs needing a good wiping down properly. Did notice the carpets in waiting/breakfast area being vacuumed at about 4pm. As down stairs wasn’t looking too great was worried about cleanliness of the bedroom.
Bed sheets were clean and comfortable but found the mesh backed desk chair was dusty had dried up food wiped on it. The main concern was the beside lights one of which wouldn’t stay on (without having to give it a tap or two on the side - clearly something not right with the electrics. We found that some lights would switch on and others wouldn’t . This was reported to reception on Monday evening and we were immediately given a replacement room. On check out we were asked how our stay was - the above info was given. The Reception/Manager gave us an 50% discount on the cost of our 3 day stay this was unexpected but much appreciated.
