Not a 4-star hotel
We were looking forward to a nice stay in London, but unfortunately, we were disappointed from the start. Our first room was in the basement, with visible damp stains on the walls and a strong musty smell. It didn’t feel like a room that should be rented out – and certainly not in a hotel claiming to be four stars.
Breakfast was also served in the basement, which was overcrowded and chaotic. There was no free table or clean plate to be found, and the overall atmosphere was stressful and unpleasant.
On the bright side, when we complained about the room, the staff took it seriously and moved us to an okay room on the second floor. Also, the staff at the front entrance were very kind and welcoming, which helped a bit.
That said, this is by no means a four-star hotel. Even three-star hotels in Asia offer a much better standard. Sadly, we won’t be coming back.
