Charged $40 for early check-in, reserved a deluxe king 7 months ago (was told they are all the same, not true), then offered a balcony upgrade for $150 night so clearly there was availability (did not accept it, too expensive). They gave us a connecting room when I asked not to have one. After asking for another room, they put us in a smaller attic room with overhang ceiling that you had to duck to avoid hitting your head near the bed, no chair or furniture to sit on but the bed. Safe didn’t work (waited over an hr for repair), neither did the hot water or air condition in a city reaching 80+ degrees daily. Asked for a 3rd time to move, got a slightly bigger room overlooking the pool, however, the louvered half moon window coverings were broken and the light from the pool was constantly on all night. Oh and they didn’t offer hand soap! What?! Was never offered an upgrade at no charge, nor a reduction on the bill, or even refund of the early check-in fee, not a thing for all this inconvenience! This whole ordeal took up several hours and caused lots of frustration on our first day of vacation. I gave this hotel another chance after similar issues a few years ago, they’re out of chances! Serious customer service training needed as well as management making sure rooms are suitable and habitable for almost $300 a night. When staff says they’ll call back, they should call back and not ignore the patrons. Do not recommend staying here, it’s not worth the aggravation!
