3 night stay for a conference at nearby Salt Palace CC. I chose Peery for its history and unique character over a cookie cutter corporate tower (still, it’s a Hilton property). The bedroom itself was great - 3 bright windows on a corner facing 300S - minimal noise from street/sidewalk. Comfortable bed, desk for work, space to move around. The bathroom, however, was the smallest I’ve seen in all my years of staying in historic hotels —- sorta comical to step over the toilet to reach the shower! Regardless of it being “cozy”, everything worked fine.
Besides the room, I enjoyed breakfast all three mornings at “Eggsburgh” on the ground level and found the area around the hotel walkable, clean and safe. It’s about 1 (very long) city block from the nearest TRAX station, which I used to get in from SLC airport.
