My father and I just had a recent stay at Hotel Borg for three nights. We were very upset with the service from the housekeeping staffs looking after our room. When we first arrived to our room, we found out that our welcome fruit basket was empty. That was not what we expected to see at a (5-star?) luxury hotel (as stated on the hotel’s own website). We called and asked about that and the staff came to our room with some fruits in the plastic bags and handed that to us. On the next day after returning from a day tour, we found out that the bottled water were not replenished as it supposed to be. Empty bottles from yesterday were left there just like before we leave. We didn’t bother to call for some new bottles and wanted to see if they were going to replenish for the next day and they didn’t. Even though this may sounds like a very tiny issue, I also think that these little points like welcome fruit basket and water bottles are also the easiest tasks that any hotel could have provide properly to their guests to ensure a pleasant stay.
