Terrible Experience - Double Charged and Full of Hassles
My stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Houston West Park 10 was a nightmare from start to finish. I booked and paid through Expedia, but when I arrived, the front desk said I hadn’t paid and had no record of my booking. I had to pay again, getting double-charged. The employee said I needed to resolve it with Expedia for a refund, despite this clearly being the hotel’s mistake.
The hotel itself was in poor condition. The water from the pipes was rusty, and the hallways and rooms reeked of a musty chemical smell. The elevator near the lobby was out of service, so I had to walk to the far end of the building, only to reach my floor and walk all the way back to my room.
On top of that, my key cards didn’t work. After several trips back and forth to the front desk, the employee eventually followed me and, after 10 minutes of trying, got the card to work. But every day, I had to deal with the key cards malfunctioning. The night front desk employee was also rude and acted like helping guests was a burden.
It took over an hour of sitting in the lobby and going back and forth with both Expedia and the hotel before they admitted their mistake and issued a refund.
Between the double charge, the rusty water, the bad smell, and terrible customer service, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
