2/10 Poor

I highly do not recommend this hotel. Do not waste your time and money on this hotel. It is Listed as a 4 star hotel, but it is really no more than a 2 star or less hotel. Our Suite with the balcony, over looking Saint Mark’s Square, the Air Conditioning did not work. The suite was HOT. The AC fan on high blew very little air and the air was not cold or cool. I Complained at the front desk, they insisted that the AC worked perfectly in our suite and basically did nothing. We booked the suite for 4 nights. I could not get one of them to come to the room to prove me right and then wrong. We said something to house keeping and they gave us a floor fan and a table top fan to use. NOT what you would expect from a so called 4 Star Hotel at an average of $500 a night suite. Still nothing from the front desk. The front desk staff were very rude and smiled at you as they told their lies to your face. It was very clear, they did not care was not concerned. We had to keep the curtains closed to try to block out some of the outside heat. The suite had two bathrooms and both were not vented and did not have an AC vents. They were both as HOT as sauna, both day and night. The last night my wife picked up a bottled water bottle in the bathroom to rinse her mouth, thinking it was hers, it was the maid’s and it was Bleach and not water used for cleaning, Lucky she did not swallow it. It look like the bottled water container that my wife used. I complained to the front desk

My family ended our 10 day vacation in Venice at this hotel. The staff was helpful and very professional. The hotel was in a good location. The breakfast spread was elegant. Rooms were clean but very old. The air condotioning for not working correctly and we had to sleep in 80 degree rooms for 2 nights. They did move us but only one room ended up being somewhat of a decent temperature. I was shocked they did not offer any type of discount to ours rooms.

No air conditioning!
The air conditioning was not working. They gave me a fan to make it up. I asked for a new room and they told me the hotel was at it’s capacity. We couldn’t sleep because of the heat of the room. I spent 356 usd for this terrible Hotel. Don’t saty here!

Property in great position and lovely large bedroom. Only one complaint and that was the bath which was far too high to have to step over and have a shower…a serious danger waiting to happen. It should be removed pronto and replaced with a walk in shower.

Historic hotel right next to St. Mark’s Basilica. The rooms seem to be smaller and sort of no frills, but for us it was what we needed. It provided very short walking distances to sites, shopping, and the vaporetto back to the Santa Lucia train station. Restaurants in the immediate area are more tourist traps, so just beware of that. You’d have to go north or east for the better restaurants.

This hotel locates right at the back of San Macro square. There are lots of restaurants, gifts, ice-cream shops around. 7 min walk to the grand canal and 5 to 10 min walk to all the docks with gondolas, or ferries to other islands. Hotel is a bit old, but nicely maintained and clean. Staffs were very friendly and helpful. Anywhere you want to go and to do is walkable. I will definitely consider to stay in this hotel next time to Venice.

Very helpful & friendly people! They helped us set up some trips and transportation. You can only get there by a water taxi which was really cool but an expensive taxi ride (we just didn’t know it would cost $80-$100) Wonderful breakfast! This was our favorite hotel so far of our European vacation! I would totally recommend it!
