Our five night stay in this beautiful chateau was a delight. It is set in lovely countryside and is very quiet and peaceful. It is an excellent base for exploring northern Normandy. We drove to Mont St.Michel, Bayeux etc from here. You really do need a vehicle to get around. A few restaurants are 10 mins or so away in the local village.
A delightful breakfast was provided by our host Cecilia who was so welcoming, informative and patient with my efforts to speak French. Breakfast consisted of the most amazing pastries I've ever had (and I've had quite a few), bread, jam, cheese, yoghurt - all produced a stones throw away.
The room was lovely, extremely clean (and I am a bit OCD) and our daughter had a little separate bedroom next to ours which I didn't realise when I booked it but it was great and she loved it. No TV but that was fine for me (I think my other half missed it though) and lots of information on local restaurants and places to go/things to do.
If we were to visit again, we would consider staying in a cottage where we would be able to rustle up some dinner.
NB. I think there are some old photos of this chateau on some of the holiday websites - ignore them. The room we had (?The Angels) was a delight, spacious and modernised where necessary - shower, sink and cabinet etc but still retaining the stunning original features - doors and floors etc.
