Nightlife in Pattaya (and vicinity)

Nightlife in Pattaya is what this city is famed for, and though it has a reputation for somewhat mischievous activities, it also offers elegant lounges, refined restaurants and casual brewpubs. Walking Street is the centre of Pattaya's nightlife scene. This small stretch of Beach Road becomes pedestrian-only after 6 pm and is lined with go-go bars, brewpubs, disco nightclubs and restaurants. After exploring the scene here, you can head to Soi LK Metro, a sleepy street with neighbourhood beer bars, go-go dance clubs and massage parlours. Even more of these can be found along Soi 6 and Soi 7.

When it comes to party central in Pattaya, head for Soi Buakhao, the main drag that's littered with restaurants, bars, nightclubs and adult entertainment. The city also has great rooftop bars like the Horizon Bar at the Hilton and the Roof Skybar at Siam@Siam. Live music can be found at many bars on Walking Street.
