This is a lovely hotel, we stayed in a room with a private swim up pool which we really enjoyed. The hotel location was good (about 15 mins walk to the main restaurant area of town) and the beach bar across the road (part of the ) had a great view of the beach.

Overall we had a pleasant stay. But the service staff was very incompetent and unprofessional. Food at the buffet was okay but very inconsistent, lacking variety and overall not worth four stars superior. Beach club of the hotel was very nice and the ocean was perfect. Great gym.

My daughter and I had a 4day stay and had a wonderful time. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We both have gluten sensitivities and the buffet had many options and the dining staff were knowledgeable and helpful. We had a couple of treatments in the spa which was also wonderful. I had an amazing vacation here at Casa Esmeralda. The staff (Toni) upon arrival at reception was super friendly, helpful, and professional. This service was carried through from beach bar, restaurant, and spa. I loved the variety of pools and easy access to beach and town.

This hotel is awful. It feels like you are staying in an airport. It’s clinical and uncomfortable and nothing invites you to relax. The staff are ignorant, the rooms are decorated like a public toilet, the machines in the gym were rusty, the buffet was limited, and so it goes on. Beautiful setting, lovely touch with the welcome drink upon arrival. 3 outdoor pools that all offer their own unique option. Spa and indoor pool are top quality. Dinner options can sometimes be sparse but thats more preference than the actual options available.

Thank goodness for the Beach Club!

The hotel is a little sterile and if it was not for the beach club I would rate it two stars. The pools are a little soulless and the staff are not particularly helpful, particularly at breakfast - lots of attitude! The breakfast is one of its weak points due to the coffee machines (they take an eternity to make a coffee and create a lot of angst with guests), the fresh fruit regularly runs out and the jars containing be cereals are so inaccessible that it is like playing a game of operation!

Hotel itself was in a lovely location, great access to the beach and perfect for shorts walks into the town centre. The beach is stunning, and the views are to die for. Really lovely decor, and clean throughout. The staff however really let the property down. From the minute we arrived the staff were rude and abrupt. Barely any of the staff greeted us in the mornings or evenings, even when walking past the front desk. We paid a lot of money to stay in a nice hotel, and feel we did not receive the level of care and attention we deserved. We felt isolated and judged.

Great location near the beach (there is a road between the hotel and beach). Great place to jump in the water near the pool. Breakfast was good, dinner for half board was okay. If I were to go back, I would do breakfast only. Rooms were spacious but outdated. We paid extra for a sea view room, wouldn’t do that again either.
