The Cairo Opera House anchors the area, while embassy compounds and the exclusive Shooting Club add international flair. Between cultural hopping, wander through the gorgeous Orman Botanical Gardens or dive into Egyptian agricultural history at the nearby museum. Tree-lined streets make exploring on foot a pleasure, with three metro stations connecting you to greater Cairo. Upscale restaurants serve both international cuisine and traditional Egyptian fare in sophisticated settings. Hotels and serviced apartments cater mostly to business travellers and diplomats, offering comfort with a cosmopolitan atmosphere.

"The Amazing View"
Great Pyramid Inn
"A gem of a hotel with a view of the pyramids. This hotel was much better than expected. The staff was more than friendly - always welcoming us with a warm smile and friendly greeting. The highlight was the exceptional view of the pyramids from the room. Breakfast was delicious. The rooftop bar offered fantastic food and a beautiful view of the sunset right behind the pyramids. The area is a bit messy but so is most of Egypt. This place is a no brainer as far as quality for the price. I would gladly stay again."
Pyramids View inn Bed & Breakfast
"Clean, staff very helpful and polite. Nice breakfast, reasonable size rooms and the view was great opposite the pyramids had a great view"
Nut Pyramids View
"Had a great stay here. Right next to the pyramids and sphinx with many shops for food and sovereigns and even a pharmacy, all of which were within walking distance. Absolutely worth the money, the owner even went out of his way to walk me to a pharmacy and even pay for the medice and a week supply at that. Made sure I had all the proper and safe food and water.(being a tourist that was the need for the medice in the first place, and not from the hotel restaurant, which is great and had an amazing breakfast!) The staff was very helpful and went above and beyond to make the stay as comfortable as possible for me. From Start to finish, picked me up from the airport had everything for my stay, and got me to the airport safely. Most of the time they even walked me to stores near by to assure I wasnt getting hassled by people trying to take advantage of tourists. This was a great place to stay, my visit was one week and I would definitely recommend!"
