We had a great stay overall and would recommend this resort. The service and food were excellent, with very good à la carte restaurants.. just be sure to book them 10 days before your stay when you can access online check in.
It is a party resort and can be loud at times, but the noise was not nearly as bad as reviews made it seem. We slept well every night, even with our room being located right by the pool.
Room cleanliness was okay but not exceptional, and toward the end of our stay it felt less well maintained than at the beginning. Still, a fun resort with great food and atmosphere. Would come back.

The staff here are amazing! So friendly and accommodating. The resort itself is beautiful, with 4 hotels on site you have several options for dining, pools, and whatever else. A very lively nightlife, we never had to look hard for live music or entertainment! Will definitely be coming back next year. 10/10

Stayed at Grand Tequila from the 28th thru 2nd
- Rooms are nicely appointed, comfortable
- Well planned, refurbished layout of the resort
- To avoid loud music request a villa away from the pool - eg Villa 22
- Good party resort
- Excellent Service
- Decent entertainment
- Food below average including Speciality restaurants ( Probably rate it 4 out of 10) - mislabeled dishes, tasteless and some dishes unedible - as compared to other all inclusive resorts in the region
- Breakfast is the only saving grace
- Access to the beach via Trolly and runs v frequently
Summary - won't be coming back to this establishment..

We had an amazing stay at Bahia Principe Grand Tequila. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful.
The resort and rooms were very clean. Beach access is just a short walk. There are also buggies that can drive you anywhere around the property. There’s also two different beach access spots for tequila.
The food was amazing! 10/10, great variety and many options for à la carte.
The highlight of our trip was the activities and events. There was always something to do. From day time pool parties and games to exclusive evening events.
A special shoutout to Gregory, the activities coordinator, who truly made our trip extra special. Our group chatted with him one night and it felt like he instantly became part of the family. We honestly looked forward to seeing him every day for the remainder of our trip. Gregory and his crew know how to throw a good party that includes every one of all ages!

1. Shower drainage issue
The water in the shower booth did not drain properly due to poor floor leveling.
The shower floor was lower than the drain hole, so water constantly remained on the floor. I believe this is a design or construction issue.
As a result, the room had very high humidity, all of our clothing became damp, and it was very difficult to dry anything during our stay.
2. Airport transportation issue
I booked my trip as a hotel and flight package. With previous package reservations, airport shuttle service was automatically included.
However, when I arrived at Cancun Airport, I was shocked to learn that Bahia Principe no longer provides complimentary shuttle service. There was also no Bahia Principe representative at the airport.
We had no choice but to arrange private transportation on our own for a round trip, which cost us an additional USD 357.
3. Food quality and staff service
The food at Grand Tequila and Coba was excessively salty and, unfortunately, not enjoyable. In contrast, the food at Sian Ka’an was good.
All staff members were very nice and kind.
In particular, Irving at the reception desk was excellent. I sincerely appreciate his help in arranging private transportation for us when our flight schedule was very tight.

This was the first time we stayed at the Grand Tequila. While the new rooms were comfortable and clean, we had to change rooms because we had draining issues with the shower. It took them two days to move us. The cleaning service was good. The over all service was not good. We got food poisoning on the second day and their concierge refused to take any responsibility for it. He basically said I was already sick when I arrived and it was due to my poor hygiene while eating. He said that there were no other complaints about the food making people sick, but we know for a fact there were other people who got sick. Yes the rooms are clean and the beach is nice, but we will not be going back to this resort. The food is not as good as it used to be and the service is also going downhill. I spent my whole week sick with food poisoning. Basically, I paid a lot of money for an all inclusive resort to stay in my room sick eating crackers and drinking pedialyte. They did offer to send soup to our room. This was for a couple of days and only after we kept complaining.

Rooms were very nice and well stocked. Lobby/reception area and lounge were beautiful. Attached shops were ok but incredibly overpriced ($15US for chips). Food was ok but be early or you wont get the good stuff. Very few Coffee machines powered on (only one in buffet) and often out of supplies. Bars were not well stocked but luckily we weren’t too picky. Cut-backs were definitely obvious but if you’ve never been to Bahia Principe before then you wont notice.

The property stated brand new when in fact it has been renovated, some of the rooms had odd smell, the sink and shower were not working properly, when we called the front desk they were not quick to fix the issues.the à la carte restaurants are hard to get in, the Buffett food was good and the New Years Buffett was outstanding. The jacuzzi pool had 3 whirlpools in one large pool but only 1 worked and none were heated. Overall we enjoyed our stay but with this advertised as a new property it should have been much better.

This place is absolutely horrible. Where should I start?
1. Our room smelled mold - so bad that all our luggage and clothes came home smelling moldy. We asked to change rooms and received no assistance from the concierge.
2. This resort is marketed as a BRAND NEW resort - this is a 100% lie. The rooms smelled horribly and even the gym had multiple buckets to collect the water leaking from the ceiling. Additionally, it was advertised as 'on the beach' - which was a complete lie. A shuttle was required to get to the beach.
3. The food was almost inedible. Disgusting.
4. The customer service at the front desk was beyond poor. They received many complaints not just by me - due to the smell, the lack of availability of the al a carte restaurants (promised in the booking), the lack of AC in any of the restaurants or common areas.
5. No AC - need I say more? Even the AC in our room was broken for half of our trip.

I chose this resort because they advertised a sports bar, and my husband is a huge sports fan. So why on earth is the sports bar not air-conditioned? Not even a fan. Everyone there was sweating and complaining. Miserable.
Check-in was a disaster. No one knew what they were doing. Total chaos.
They claim to have four restaurants, but that’s laughable. There’s basically ONE on site and it was “unavailable” the entire trip. The others are at different properties and “impossible to reserve” despite being practically empty. The buffet and food truck? Mediocre at best. Same bland food every meal.
This was my first time at an all-inclusive, and I genuinely didn’t know what to expect. What I didn’t expect was spending 45 minutes BEGGING for a dinner reservation on my birthday because the app didn’t work (probably because the WiFi barely works). When I asked for a manager, the front desk handed me a complaint form like I was an inconvenience. After insisting, they claimed the manager was “in a meeting.” I said I’d wait. He never came.
I eventually asked a random staff member who the manager was and asked them to find him. Shockingly, they did. But then he made us wait another 10 minutes outside in the sun while we were already sweating through our clothes. He finally secured us a dinner reservation—at another resort.
That dinner wasn’t even good. And the worst part? We were stranded afterward. The trolley he told us to take had stopped running for the night. So we had to walk 20 mi
