decent place to stay in cork. not sure how long it’s been going on or how long it will continue, but when i stayed there was super loud construction or something outside my window all night for all 3 nights i was there. other than that the room was clean and the location is good, just a short walk from the city centre.

It’s not a hotel, it’s student housing. The staff was very friendly, but gives dorm room vibes. Wasn’t a terrible stay, but would choose differently if we came to cork again. No parking so plan on spending around 40 euro a day on the nearest car park.

A basic student accommodation. The bed was uncomfortable. The bathroom and kitchen facilities were OK. The room was clean and towels were provided. The accommodation was fine for what we needed it for and the location was good. Staying on a Saturday night was noisy, with doors slamming throughout the night.

While this is fine for single youngsters, it’s not exactly what you’d want when you’re over 65. It was advertised as a double bed and thats exactly what it is. A double bed in the old fashioned sense, crammed next to the wall so you have to climb in and out of from the bottom of the bed in the night when you inevitably need the loo. Like I said, fine for 20 and 30 something’s but not for me!

We checked in to stay at Copley Court for one night and immediately found a dead bed bug under one of the pillows. We went back to the front desk to let them know we wouldn’t be staying there. They did offer a new room, but if a place has bed bugs, we’re not staying there. After four phone calls asking for a refund, they emailed saying they wouldn’t be refunding as they offered us an alternative room. I would recommend finding another place to stay in Cork as this location has bed bugs and communication is lacking.

Bed is up high on a platform. No light in the room. Room is grey so is very dark. Bathroom needs to be refurbished. Was overpriced.

Expect that other people in your pod will not be considerate and that there is no security or management of the premises to enforce common courtesy rules such as quiet hours. I stayed at a similar student housing place near University College of Cork (Crows Nest and Victoria place) and these were much more professionally managed and maintained. While it’s much more beautiful out by UCC, you will be about a 25 min walk from center city or a 5 min bus.

This is a student dorm that’s rented when classes are out, but there was construction right outside my ground floor window that started at 3am?!? Windows felt paper thin. Those units shouldn’t be rented out until that work is done.

I booked a City Room; a double bed with desk and private bathroom. When I arrived we were given a bed that required climbing up a skinny ladder and over the wooden edge of the bed. I would never have booked this as I am 8mths pregnant and it was a nightmare. I asked about it and was told ‘I booked a Loft Room which is clearly detailed at the point of booking’. The response was defensive and made me think they have had this with others. Hotels.com offered €25 compensation.
