We had an amazing stay. It was very comfortable with all necessary amenities which were all hitech such automated window screen, toilet, mirror etc. Host was very friendly. They catered for dietary requirements for our breakfast, loved their home style food and all the variety of snacks left for us in the room. I would highly recommend this accommodation if you want to feel like home.

Train Station pickup was very helpful. Hotel is spotlessly clean. The receptionist Liu Linying was so helpful at all times. The room was huge, comfortable and has a lovely bathroom. Breakfast was really tasty and freshly made coffee was welcome. Drivers were well organised. The recommendations for when to walk through the city to see the best of the lights was good. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Datong.

Breakfast was a daily highlight, with a wide range of fresh and delicious options to start the day. I also enjoyed the complimentary evening happy hour, which added a special touch to the experience. It's brand new, so the hotel is very nice, but the area has no restaurants and isn't convenient to tourist sites. They demanded a large "deposit" when we arrived, although we paid for the room already through hotels.com. Then they tried to pay this back online, it didn't work, then the manager came to the train station to pay in cash. This is not a good system for visitors.

We just came back from Datong. The weather is so cold and we were told it’s been the coldest days for this winter. We barely can walk outside for more than 2-5 minutes. It’s extremely cold on the day to Yungang Shiku, my toes and fingers felt frozen. Walking around in the accent city is almost impossible, so we gave up. Monday all the museums are closed. And our stay in Datong is Sunday and Monday, so we actually only visit Yungang Shiku on Sunday. Don’t recommend come to Datong in winter except you enjoy cold weather and don’t mind walking a lot to the centre of the city or around the centre of the city. Not sure whether public transportation available around the yard. We took taxi all the time because of the weather. Just ¥5-7 to the centre of the city. Excellent stay in the yard, which comforts us comparing to the harsh weather. Make us feel the trip to Datong is still worthy it.

부모님과 함께 찾은 다퉁. 한국에서는 아직 낯선 도시지만, 운강석굴이 있는 곳이라는 이유 하나로 우연히 여행하게 되었습니다. 평소 공중화장실 이용도 꺼릴 만큼 여행에서 청결을 가장 중요하게 생각하는 편이라 숙소를 고를 때도 고민이 많았습니다. 그러다 호텔스닷컴에 올라온 사진을 보고 마음이 끌려 우푸즈를 선택하게 되었습니다. 결론부터 말하면, 다퉁과 우푸즈는 제가 가지고 있던 모든 선입견과 예상을 기분 좋게 깨뜨려준 곳이었습니다. 지금까지 여행하며 방문했던 도시와 숙소 중에서도 가장 기억에 남는 곳이라고 자신 있게 추천하고 싶습니다. 조금 이기적인 마음으로는 이곳을 나만 알고 싶다는 생각도 들었습니다. 언젠가 생각을 정리하고 싶을 때, 지친 마음을 잠시 내려놓고 리프레시가 필요할 때 조용히 다시 찾아오고 싶을 만큼, 사람에게 건강한 생명력을 불어넣어 주는 곳이었습니다. 부모님은 일흔을 바라보는 연세로 불교를 무척 사랑하십니다. 운강석굴이 주는 압도적인 감동과 찬란한 역사를 함께 마주할 수 있었던 것만으로도 특별한 여행이었는데, 여기에 겸손하고 성실한 우푸즈의 호스트분들 덕분에 여행이 더욱 따뜻해졌습니다. 매일 아침 정성스럽고 건강하게 차려주신 따뜻한 식사, 깨끗하고 조용한 거리, 세심하게 관리된 객실, 그리고 다이슨 드라이기와 마샬 스피커 같은 작은 디테일까지. 무엇보다 언제나 웃는 얼굴로 최선을 다해 맞아주셨던 우푸즈의 모든 분들이 오래 기억에 남을 것 같습니다. 다퉁을 떠난 뒤에도 문득문득 생각날 것 같은 곳입니다. 우푸즈, 꼭 다시 찾아뵐게요. 부모님과 저에게 좋은 기억을 만들어주셔서 진심으로 감사합니다.

El mejor!

Sin duda el mejor hotel en el que me haya quedado. Las imágenes no hacen justicia al hotel. La habitación es totalmente tecnológica, los pisos con calefacción, todo se controla a través de un centro de mando. La habitación enorme. Lo mejor fue la atención que nos dieron, te preparan el desayuno conforme a tus gustos pero es un desayuno tradicional y todo es delicioso y abundante. Cuando salíamos nos preparaban bolsa de fruta, galletas y agua. Siempre muy atentos a nuestras necesidades. El hotel está muy bien ubicado. En la esquina de la ciudad amurallada. No dejen de visitarlo! Regresaría sin dudarlo!
