The castle just recently opened up for individual stays (had been only available to venue hire out in the last year)...and thankfully it did. Our room was wonderfully plush, every detail thought of and impeccably decorated and clean. The staff couldn't have been nicer. Every inch of the property is gorgeous...can't say enough about it.

Fabulous little find. I booked not realising standard rooms shared the main bathroom. When I arrived it was no problem to upgrade.
Breakfast was delish and staff were very attentive.
Would definitely recommend this stunning Guest house

A short but very pleasant stay at the hotel. As I was visiting relatives I didn't use all the hotel facilities but the room was large, quiet and comfortable, albeit a bit dark. Breakfast was excellent as I expected.

The staff at the hotel couldn’t do enough to make sure you had everything you needed and were super friendly. The hotel had great amenities and although there was a wedding going on it wasn’t too noisy! The room seemed very clean apart from a rogue make up sponge that was lying under the desk.

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Glasgow
Book for the cheapest times: Glasgow offers a budget-friendly escape, particularly in January, October and November, when hotel prices may drop, making it an affordable destination on a budget. For visitors keen to explore the city's rich cultural heritage, landmarks, and historical attractions — from museums and art galleries to live music venues and monuments — a stay of at least 2 to 3 days provides great value for money. This is an ideal period to immerse oneself in Glasgow’s vibrant art scene, historic tours, and cultural dining experiences, all while enjoying a wallet-friendly trip.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: Hotels.com may offer savings for trips to Glasgow if you explore the Dealsopens in new window or Last-Minute Deals sections, where discounted hotel options are highlighted close to your travel date. By enabling email alerts or push notifications, you're more likely to see flash sales and special promotions. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool via the app is a handy comparison tool that helps travellers compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you can quickly spot any opportunities for a last-minute getaway when rooms become available or prices drop.
Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary depending on factors such as the hotel’s location, star rating, and season, so being flexible with your dates could help you save on your Glasgow hotel stay. For those seeking a distinctive experience, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised touch and potentially better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average, and if it is on the higher side, we could suggest alternative dates that might offer a more affordable option.
Consider your location: Hotels in close proximity to the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Glasgow's excellent public transport links, you may find a more affordable independent hotel located slightly further afield that is still conveniently connected. For those wishing to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money on offer. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
