Vila Gale Santa Cruz Resort Hotel
"Excellent choice for breakfast. The setting and location is wonderful - sitting round the pool, looking towards the sea. Right next to the cute small town with some lovely restaurants. Hotel of a good standard with equally nice comfy rooms. Would have given a 5 out of 5 apart from on occasion, not enough staff on at the bar pool area in the day sometimes and some of the sunbeds are past their best. Would definitely stay here again."
Villa-Kasia Ocean View

The Views Oasis - Family Friendly
"The breakfast buffet was amazing! The pool was great. It will be better if they have more umbrellas for the beach chairs. The room is spacious. Perfect for family of 4."
Garajau Madeira Hotel
"Nice place to stay, Clean and spacious!"
Quinta Splendida Wellness & Botanical Garden
"Super lovely people in beautiful surroundings"
Rocamar Lido Resort
"Room was dated but clean. Indoor pool was useful. Can't swim at the beach because there no beach, very rocky and waves were pretty rough, but nice to have waterfront view. Very accessible to funchal by bus. Bus stop was just a block away. Font desk were not too helpful interms of going out of their way looking for excursions outside of their tour partners. Beach towels were controlled, first sets are free, if need clean ones there are extra fees and must return the towels to front desk to avoid fees. Cannot leave it in the room. Breakfast was good. All in all, we enjoyed our stay."

- Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so having flexibility with your dates might help you save on your stay in a Santa Cruz hotel. For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels could offer a more personalised experience and potentially better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will indicate if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average, and if it appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could help you find a more attractive rate.
- Consider your location: Hotels nearer to the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, though thanks to Santa Cruz's excellent public transport links, you might find an independent hotel further afield that is still well connected and more likely to be affordable. For those wishing to explore alternative, less congested neighbourhoods or even relatively unknown nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
