I am not entirely fond of small boutique hotels as they can be a bit too overwhelming with trying to add that "personal touch", which can just come across off a little tacky or even intrusive. This place strikes an pitch perfect balance with being cozy and intimate (think beautiful fireplace, made to order breakfasts and generous offers to help with tours, restaurant tips, etc) while still giving you the privacy and independence of larger hotels (think "honesty" bar, the fact that guests have the entire place to themselves after 7PM each night and the fact it's tucked away on a quiet street but still within seconds of Camp's Bay beaches, restaurants and nightlife). Sally and the other staff at the Atlantic House are warm, genuine and good spirited people who uphold the highest standards of hospitality. After a day sightseeing, Atlantic is the exact kind of place you want to come back to unwind, pour yourself a drink for the communal bar, watch the sunset and take the 30 second drive to Camps Bay's best restaurants and nightlife. I travel every six weeks and I can comfortably say that this is one of my favorite places. Stop searching and just book it! You won't regret it.
