Algila' Ortigia Charme Hotel

Algila' Ortigia Charme Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"We loved spending a few days in Ortigia at the Algila' Charme Hotel. We had a room overlooking the ocean and the busy street outside the hotel entrance. AC was cranking, and the room stayed cool despite how hot it was. The staff were friendly and helpful. A simple breakfast buffet is available daily. They'll even make omelettes for those of us who prefer some protein in our breakfast. The location of the hotel is ideal—walking distance to everything on Ortigia—and the valet parking option is appreciated (since parking is very limited and driving is a hair-raising experience)."

Mangia's Brucoli, Sicily, Autograph Collection

Mangia's Brucoli, Sicily, Autograph Collection

10/10 Excellent
"Overall an excellent stay. Our suite (with a private pool) was modern, clean and comfortable - most critically with a soft bed (italian beds are usually so hard) and effective but quiet aircon (so you could have it on all night). At the pool there are comfy sunloungers and we always had brand new fluffy pool towels. The main pool was usually very busy - but not an issue for us as we camped out at the adults pool. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Lunch and drinks at Lime Bar were also always to a high standard. The evening buffet, and the a-la carte restaurants were a bit hit & miss - the pizza restaurant the best of the bunch. Staff very helpful, maybe just too few of them on occassion. Note that this hotel really is off the beaten track. Brucoli village is close - but there is nothing there to see or do. Don't bother going and certainly pay for the water taxi from the hotel. Overall - thoroughly recommend."

  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover last-minute deals for hotels in Augusta, begin by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted rates as your travel date approaches. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool in the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, so you’re more likely to find the perfect accommodation in Augusta.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so being flexible with your dates may help you save on your stay in an Augusta hotel. For those seeking a unique experience, boutique hotels can offer a more personalised ambiance and sometimes better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your selected dates is above or below the average, and if it appears to be on the higher side, we might suggest alternative dates that could help you find a better deal.
  4. Consider your location: Remaining closer to prominent attractions or city centres might offer convenience, but it usually tends to come with higher costs. For more affordable rates, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, balancing price with ease of access to the places you plan to visit. You might also explore independent hotels further out, which are more likely to be affordable and provide a more authentic experience.
