Checking in and out was fast and easy with friendly front desk staff. The building itself was okay. There was not a ton of light in the rooms--no overhead lighting and just 3 small lamps and a dim "hall" light. The bed was comfortable.
Overall, it was an average hotel. There is a picture of a bar on the website, but it is not functional. They have a vending machine for food and a couple of games in the lobby.
While located in a convenient area (close to the airport, close to 77, close to Southend), I did not necessarily feel safe alone in the parking lot, but I was traveling solo and had no choice but to be alone. There was limited parking close to the front entrance, and both nights that I returned to the hotel it was after dark and there were people (not guests) loitering outside.
I also had housekeeping knock on my door multiple times within a 30-minute span although I told them I didn't need service and it wasn't my day to check out.
