Stayed at the Cottage Bed & Breakfast for a one night get away, and it was the perfect spot to get out of the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The detail in all of the rooms made the experience, along with the breakfast and company the following morning. The Cottage Bed and Breakfast is a beautiful little spot and will be returning if ever in town again!

Such a beautiful location, trees, flowers, a koi pond, covered porches, birds, little lizards... Just a little slice of heaven. The room was large, bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a dream, double sinks, a claw foot tub (which I took full advantage of). The owners were so sweet and accommodating. No doubt that if I go back to the area, I'll be staying there again.

This is a beautiful house and an amazing getaway for a romantic weekend. the property is clean and well maintained with an extremely friendly owner. the breakfast included was delicious and the room was delightfully cozy. The property is so well maintained from the outback garden to the angelic inside that I felt like royalty while I stayed. It was honestly an amazing experience that I would recommend to anyone.

We needed a place to stay near Florida State for a game coming from central Florida. Anything decent in Tallahassee on a football game weekend was so expensive. This gem was a lot less $ and offered a lot more. Property owners were super nice and accommodating. Yes this was a half hour away but the bonus is it's a half hour shorter when driving back. Highly recommend.

Peace and quiet
This B & B reminded us of a European chateau. The grounds and room’s decor was designed to match the style. It was all quiet and peaceful allowing for a restful nights sleep. The breakfast and hospitality was exceptional. Should we pass this way again, Monticello and this B & B will be on our list of stops.

4/10 Fair

Good location for walking to town but clearly Monticello had suffered during the pandemic. Sidewalks needed repairs and many businesses were closed. Similarly this property was in need of exterior cleaning and work. A couple of rooms had been painted but there appears to be some sort of building project on going. Breakfast was two nice pastries no savory dishes.

4/10 Fair

1. The property was NOT well-lit at night and it was very dark without street lights. I had a hard time finding the path to get to my room in the pitch black dark. 2. The owner works another job so she wasn't available some of the time. I had to wait for her to finish a work conference call before I could check in. 3. The breakfast was extremely limited. A small disk of yogurt and a small disk of fruit [a few strawberries and a couple raspberries were served.] For $200.00 a night, i expected a full breakfast. 4. Like one of the other reviews, that I didn't see right away, otherwise, I wouldn't have booked here, The room smelled very very musty; and it seemed like an attempt was made to cover the smell with incense sticks in a fragrant oil. I found the smell very over-bearing and stayed out of the room as much as possible. I was only in the room from midnight until 7 AM. The main building also smelled musty too. 5. I would not refer anyone to this B&B. 6. Some of the garden patio furriture had black mold on the cushions.

It was such a relaxing few days. Loved staying in the quaint town. So very relaxed. Only thing that needs to change is on the booking listed it shows full breakfast. Only continental served. When we arrived we were told only then it was continental. Needs a stand up shower. There wss a tub with a shower wand. We did have a wonderful time despite these things. They just need to be addressed.

My stay here was like staying in fairy tale. I absolutely loved the owners and the guests who were also staying. The grounds were so beautiful; I hope to visit another time, just for fun! I am so glad I stayed there versus staying in a hotel.

Lovely hostess. Friendly and professional. Very comfortable. Convenient location. Spotless. Lovely place. Slightly odd layout of toilet in the bathroom. May be tight for taller guests.
