It is a nice quiet town. It is conveniently located whether you are visiting Paradise Cave, Phong Nga Cave, or the Dark Cave. I highly recommend visiting all three.

The most unique caves. Do the Drak Cave, Paradise Cave and Phong Nha Cave. Do Phong Nha cave first day. Rent a scooter and do Dark Cave and Paradise Cave next. Do Paradise Cave around 11AM est lunch then dark cave around 2 to 3 to miss the tours.
