"We stayed for two days in this lovely place Sand in Taufers. Its pretty small place, just some bars and restaurants are available but you're so close to the mountains so it was perfect for our hiking trip. The hotel itself looks on the webpage pretty cool and totally new. We booked a superior suite (€ 460 for two nights) and honestly we were more than disappointed regarding the room. "We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are clean and nicely updated. We spent a lot of time on our balcony watching hikers go by and marveling at the mountains. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Although its outside of the city, there are several small towns near by. The area is very charming and there's plenty of hiking and biking right outside of your door. "
