Yahatakan
"Would highly recommend to anyone staying on Sado island. On first arriving at the property and being greeted by the staff at the entrance to the reception staff they were all so friendly and helpful. The property is fairly old but clean and cannot complain about the room or any of the facilities. The room was listed as 10 tatami, single room type but was a good size and included a decent size bathroom room and separate toilet. Sleeping was on a futon which I found very comfortable. The baths were great and had a separate indoor and outdoor bath. Include in the price was breakfast which was excellent and once again here all staff were friendly and helpful. Location was a bit of a challenge without a car but there is a bus stop directly in front of the property with two of the local bus routes accessible from it but Sado is so much easier with a car."

"ocean front, great view. The only thing is that the bathroom is like 2 or 3 mins walk from the actual room But they have body wash, shampoo and conditioner there. Its dark at night which makes it scary when youre staying by yourself. The room itself is clean. I would definitely stay here again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

" Very nice and peaceful. The town is a little run down, though. Difficult to find anywhere to eat."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Sado
- Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Sado is from January to March, when hotel prices are lower. For a budget-friendly experience, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is ideal for discovering the island's historical and cultural landmarks. During your visit, you can explore various attractions, including ancient temples, notable monuments, and fascinating museums. You might also enjoy the stunning natural scenery and wildlife, making it a great value for money trip, especially for those on a budget.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute hotel deals in Sado, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates as your travel date approaches. By enabling email alerts or push notifications, you could stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, helping you seize opportunities for savings. Additionally, utilise the Smart Shopping tool via the app to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you’re more likely to see the best hotel deal. This way, if prices drop or rooms become available, you'll be notified first for your last-minute getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you save on your stay at a hotel in Sado. For those in search of distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and, at times, better value. When you make a booking through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher side, we’ll suggest alternative dates that may be more affordable, helping you to secure the best deal.
- Consider your location: Opting for accommodation near major attractions or city centres may provide convenience but often tends to come with higher prices. For more affordable options, consider hotels in less central neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and accessibility to the sites you intend to visit. You might also look into independent hotels situated a bit further out, which can offer a more authentic experience while being more likely to be budget-friendly.
