Excellent Value

Perfect for a trip to the Proms. We weren’t in the room much as we were off exploring and as such, it had everything we really needed. It was very clean and the staff were great.

So close to the Albert Hall

I have stayed at Princes Gardens several times when attending the BBC PROMS at The Albert Hall. It is only a step or two away and the little park it overlooks makes for a pleasant place to sit if you have time

6/10 Good

Princess Gardens Hotel Imperial College.

It was an easy check in, very helpful staff in the reception area. The location was great for the museums and tube. The room was very basic which was what we expected for the money paid. However the cleanliness of the bathroom was poor lots of mould etc. Carpets also could do with cleaning.
Debra, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

Somewhat overrated but very adequate for our needs

Easy check-in, adequate facilities, and for the price, a fantastic deal. However, to give it four stars seems a bit much as there is no A/C, no television, and breakfast is school cafeteria style. Location is wonderful. It met our needs. We have no regrets except for the fire alarm going off at 6.50 a.m. or so. Terrible way to be woken up, especially as it was a false alarm :-)

2/10 Poor

They didn’t mention anywhere on the hotel app that it was imperial university campus hostel that was made to look like a hotel… the pool was not and the facility and wasn’t available for use …

Well located student digs

Stayed for 1 night after going to BST Hyde Park. Location was ideal, quiet square and close to Hyde Park. Room was very basic. Student digs. Breakfast was located 5 mins walk from room and had a good choice.

Great

It was great. So glad to have tea and coffee facilities with plenty of milk.

This is not a hotel

This is NOT a hotel, it is student accomodation rented out. This is not made clear at all. The rooms are tiny, beds are uncomfortable and being woken up at 05:00 for a fire alram was just the final straw in a terrible experience.
Andrew, 2-night trip

1 night stay solo traveller

Quick check in . Room was as expected basic but clean there was an empty tube left in the shower but didn’t bother me .i thought bed wasn’t going to be comfy when I first sat on it but had a great night sleep. Shower was brilliant , towels perfect tea and coffee facilities. Choice of breakfasts was great No complaints

4/10 Fair

Good location but hostle feels

Was mold in the shower, sanity towels in the bin from a previous guest I assume. You have to book parking 7 days before visit! No information on that from hotels.com
Adam, 1-night trip

This is not a hotel.

This is not a hotel. This place was advertised as a 4 star hotel. It was a dormitory. I was surprised and quite disappointed because I thought I was booking a hotel not a summer accommodation in a dormitory. On top of it we were given a handicap room to stay at without a door handle and a proper bathroom. It was very disappointing experience. The only good thing was a location.
Magdalena, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

Not a hotel

This is uni accommodation. I booked this as it was advertised as a hotel. When we arrived we were shocked that it was uni accommodation and this is not made known on the listing. No amenities - not even a hair dryer or mini fridge to store food/drinks?? How they can charge over £150 a night is beyond me. This is not a hotel!
2-night trip

Noisy nearby Prince's Gardens

The noise problem at night was made by Summer Programme teenage students who ignore security guards to shout and scream and make Tic Toc videos in the Prince's Garden until the early hours. At 1:30 am, I asked to be moved to a quieter room, but none was available. Got to sleep about 2:30 am. If you want to sleep well, stay somewhere else!
Patrick, 1-night trip

Steer clear!

Gave me a key at reception. 10 minute walk to the room to find a woman in my bed. Had to walk back to be dealt with by a very rude receptionist.
Terry, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

This isn’t an hotel by my definition. Student accommodation that’s hired out to the public out of season Small uncomfortable double bed. Cord carpet floor tiles. No as advertised
Robert, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Uni halls

I wish it had been clear this is student accommodation, initially though I had been scammed as couldn’t find princes gardens. Only went into the uni halls because of the photo that I had to check. The was a huge line to check in. Staff were very friendly. The room was very very odd, bed in the middle of the room, w Bathroom appeared to have been, except the floor which had multiple pubic hairs scattered around.
Carla, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Towels were not changed two times during my 5-day stay. No refrigerator and no air conditioning in a room.
6-night trip

2/10 Poor

Avoid - rip off

Huge queue at 2pm as no one was allowed to check in before. Then lots of people started cutting in line and no staff stopped them. Room was boiling - small fan, small window and unable to cool room. No air con. Mattress lumpy and cheap - with springs digging into back. Cleaners noisy outside room. For £96 I would never book again - it's sub-standard student digs. Will get comfy premier inn or similar WITH air con short tube ride away. Woke up following day knackered from poor sleep and massive headache from heat.
