Loved the room - very modern and clean. The restaurant and bar were excellent - this was not a cruise; the ship was moored for a big conference in Dusseldorf. The bus we used to get to the conference was very nice & took us straight to the ship.
The only negative was the walkway to get to the ship - it was very muddy and slippery (not really the ship operator's fault).

Had a Great stay!
This was a great place to stay. The morning breakfast was outstanding and the service was good. You can walk to town in 5 minutes and enjoy the culture. Sleeping a boat was a nice departure from stuffy hotel rooms. I'd do this again.
Fantastic choice for accommodation during MEDICA. Staff were friendly and always happy to help. Good breakfast and great to be able to have evening meal on the boat should you wish. Shuttle bus to MEDICA was really convenient and made week easy. Highly recommend.

Comfortable hotel boat
I was very positively surprised. I stayed on the MS Charles Dickens during a trade show in Düsseldorf. The rooms are clean, breakfast choice is good and service is friendly. There was a shuttle to the fair organised every day. I would certainly stay there again next year!

All Aboard
Strangely when I booked I didn't realise that the hotel is actually a rather large boat moored on the river - it led to an interesting phone call from my boss
The staff were obliging and friendly, the menu was limited but the food was good and the wine was great - Rooms or cabins were well put together and spotlessly clean as were the bathrooms that had nice hot showers
This stay has certainly opened my mind to the use of a boat in a city centre location in the future and I'd happily return to the Charles Dickens
