Al Manara is the best hotel we’ve stayed at during our Jordan visit and definitely a must stay if you’re ending your trip in Aqaba. We started off in our trip Amman in a “5 star” hotel where the experience was horrible, dirty and old room, and very expensive and frankly bad food. So heading to our last stop we didn’t have much expectation. Boy were we pleasantly surprised!
First of all we had no ideas Al Manara was in fact under Marriott hotel brand. It’s actually part of a larger development where it’s situated next to a Westin and more hotels being built right across the way. The service from the concierge to the restaurant staff were all well trained and is comparable to any big city 5 star hotel. They even offered us a 4pm checkout time knowing we had a very late flight. The rooms were spacious and clean and have everything you need. Al Manara also has several pools along with a private beach, perfect for unwinding after driving through the length of Jordan. The food was also terrific! Food in Jordan frankly is a bit hit or miss, same cannot be said here. The food not only was on par with a major city, it’s also very affordable! We happened to be there during Christmas Eve and enjoyed a scrumptious Christmas buffet. And as an added bonus , if you’re a cat lover definitely ask to sit outside.
