Greaf little hotel
Superb little hotel in a great location in Tulum: 10 mins walk away from the main restaurants and bars and the right end of town for an easy cycle to the beach. Jana made everthing so simple for us and was so welcoming: the perfect hosf.

The only knock to the rating is the location of the hotel which is at the edge of the town (the edge that is closed to the center, but still an edge). It is a good 10-12 minutes walk before you encounter the first restaurant you would consider eating at. Usually I wouldn't mind that, even with kids, however this time it was different for two reasons: 1) It is super hot and super humid in Tulum 2) It can rain heavily without notice for several minutes and I was in constant fear that my cast on my broken arm will get wet Other than the location, which if you're without kids, with a car or able (or willing) to rent bicycle should be no problem to you, this place is EXTREMELY well worth the low price tag. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the pool is refreshing, staff is amazingly nice and helpful and there are small well thought of details that differentiate this hotel from nearly all others we've been to such as a basket of fresh fruit each morning, a decent amount of towel hangers and sockets in the room, etc. The only thing that I would recommend them to improve within the room is the blinds in the window which were difficult to manage and did not do their job efficiently

Helpful staff. Best to purchase tours via hotel, find that prices are cheaper. Jane was helpful in providing information on how to get around. Sporadic internet hiccups. No TV in room, which was fine for the short time we were there.

Comfortable, clean and staff is awesome
Very happy to have stayed in Hotel Mango while we were in Tulum. Three of us stayed in 'penthouse', it was comfortable and very clean. The sofa bed in the living room was perfectly comfortable to sleep on. The hotel staff was awesome, always asking how to help and if we had any concerns. The hotel is at the north end of town so very quiet. The town of Tulum is expanding and appears to be in a state of construction. This was evident from our penthouse view and to be honest we enjoyed observing the construction process nextdoor. And we had the best 360 view of an exciting afternoon thunderstorm / hailstorm from the comfort of our penthouse suite :)

Perfectly located if you want easy access to beach
They were so lovely. I forgot her name, but she’s Czech and she gave the best advice what to do in town. It’s located right next to 24 hour quick marts and is right on the point that has easy access to ruins, beaches and cenotes. I recommend this place to people that want to stay in town but still able to travel easily to tourist hot spots.

Great little place
We loved our stay at Mango Hotel. My partner and I stayed here and the room was perfect for us so cute and just what we needed. The pool and garden area was lovely. We forgot her name but the lady working reception (From Czech Republic) was so helpful and so comforting. She gave us so many ideas of things to do in Tulum and we had lots of laughs with her she is so sweet and is very good at her job. The only thing Bad I would have to say is our bed/pillows werent that comfortable. But all in all was such a good place to stay, very good value for money. Would definetly come back

Great stay.Don't think twice.book it!
Cute little property at the entry to town.Perfect as headquarter to explore the zone. Comfy beds, shower and pool area is relaxing. Friendly staff, clean and with coffee, fruit and tea available all day. Would stay again without blinking my eyes. ( We actually rent initially a place close ro the beach on the jungle side and due extreme heat and rain I decided to cancel and rent at Mango) what a smart move to stay here.Penthouse rocks!

Good and simple
Good hotel for the price. It is very basic, but that's all you need if you're going to spend your day visiting turistic attractions. I would stay there again.

Beware of "broken" credit card machine
I have mixed feelings about the Mango hotel. The room was ok. It was small , clean with a tiny fridge and no tv. There is a small pool in the backyard and a shady area for reading. Cleaning and maintenance staff were fine. The real issue is with one of the front desk staff, Jane. When we arrived she told us the credit card machine was "broken " and we would have to pay in cash. Since we never carry that much cash I told her we would pay later. I left a deposit and she gave me a receipt. The next day she said the machine was "fixed" but when I paid she added an extra charge telling me that all businesses in Tulum add extra fees for credit cards. The don't. After this I heard her tell two other guests that the machine was broken again. I feel that this is some kind of scam. The experience spoiled our trip and for that reason I cannot recommend this hotel.

Stay there was quite pleasant. We had a rental car, so we could get to the beach and ruins/park easily. Staff was very pleasant and attentive to our comfort.

Close proximity to Tulum, simple budget hotel
It was a quick night at Mango hotel. We like the fact that it's very close to Tulum entrance and it has a minimart close by. However, the road to the property could be improved.
