The check in staff knew nothing about online booking platforms, nothing about hotel.com or trivago etc. And so I was denied access and turned away.
I was only saved by my adamant insistence that they call their next superior as the manager of the day walked away from me saying she knew nothing of what I was saying.
The person on the other end of the phone eventually instructed them to check me in.
It was a most embarrassing moment

They'd never had an Orbitz reservation before and tried to make me pay a secxond time. Finally got the manager to realize they must have an agreement with Orbits because they had received my reservation! Overall, it was a nice place with comfortable rooms and a good restaurant. It is on a minor side street and a little hard to find though. Yes, I recommend it - even gioven the small billing problem. They were honest and accepted their responsibility.
