The details on the Hotel.com website stated "parking available" which usually indicates a hotel managed car park, unfortunately the parking was on the road. I would advise future guests not to park under the trees otherwise your car will be covered in sap. Additionally, the website stated pay at the hotel where a receipt / invoice will be given, unfortunately, the hotel do not appear to be aware of this as they took the money from my card without me present and on check out could not provide me with a VAT receipt. Business travellers need to be aware of this for expenses.
For the price of the room I would expect a bigger bathroom, this one was basically toilet wide, a tiny sink impossible to wash in without flooding the floor, with a shower that does not drain very well and when the toilet is flushed water comes up the shower drain! I would have reported this issue but the person in charge of hospitality probably needs some customer service training as they were extremely off hand and unhelpful. After a very long and tiring journey a nice welcome, without a dog jumping up at you, would be nice. I must admit I was also unprofessional with my dealings with them, but a calm non-passive aggressive response from them may have helped diffuse the situation. Thanks
