Extremely disappointed with this hotel. When booking was made, the hotel offered 24 hour free airport shuttle and free shuttle within 3 km - hotel no longer offers this so not honoured. When calling from the airport, we were told to hire a taxi. Hotel would not accept Canadian credit card - only Chinese credit card (which we do not have) or local currency. Unbelievable. Reserved non-smoking room and assigned smoking room. Thankfully, smoke odour only in hallways. Only 1 of 3 advertised restaurants open. Pool closed. Signs indicated there was a business office onsite. When we requested use of a computer in the business office, we were told "no computer; no business office".
We experienced difficulty communicating with front desk staff as most do not speak or understand English. Only one front desk staff on duty with limited English.

Nice for the price - a bit out of the way
After reading a previous review of the hotel, I was concerned regarding the staff knowing English. I checked in close to midnight and my reservation could not be found. I was fortunate to have a local friend with me and this solved all communication problems. However, I am certain this would not have been an easy process by myself. I was given a smoking room although I had reserved a nonsmoking room. However, there was no smoke smell in my room. Ironically, the hotel was very nice with one exception. There was a lingering smoke smell everywhere. That was a bit annoying. The breakfast buffet was nice, but I thought the food was a bit bland. My checkout went smoothly and there was an English speaking person on duty. Overall my stay was pleasant. If not for the smoke smell throughout the hotel, I would have rated it one notch higher.

Keep Away from this Hotel!
I booked this hotel for 2 nights and ended up only staying there 1 night. The staff have no clue what they are doing and don't speak a word of English. Although it was a 5 star Hotel there were parts of the hotel that were not even completed yet and their food buffet was disgusting and cold. When I asked to speak to the manager/owner (who spoke a little English), he himself said that this is a new hotel and only for Chinese people. This was never advertised on the Expedia website when I booked the hotel. I felt very annoyed and frustrated with the whole situation. I immediately called Expedia and informed them of what was happening. They were very prompt to act on the situation and gave me a refund of one night.
So please save yourself the head ache and feeling like you want to kill someone and do not book this hotel unless you speak Chinese!!
