Leider haben wir schon bei der Ankunft einige Mängel im Appartment festgestellt. Telefonisch konnten wir keinen erreichen und auch über den Chat wurde nicht ausreichend reagiert. Die Türe zum Badezimmer war so verzogen, dass unser jüngerer Sohn Probleme hatte, diese zu öffnen oder zu schließen. Der Porzellangriff am Duschkopf war gesprungen und hatte scharfe Kanten. Die gesamte Wohnung hatte eine sehr hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit, sodass sich an der Fensterbank Pfützen gebildet haben. Auch das Fernsehprogramm ließ sich nicht einstellen. Schade, denn auf den ersten Blick war es ein optisch sehr schönes Appartment…aber nur auf den ersten Blick.

Very comfortable and good accommodation. Clean and well stocked. No issues with any communication and they answered the phone within seconds. Very close to all sorts of local shops and tourists spots as well as a key bus stop for practical connections. Very recommended.

Great location and easy to get to places on foot. Appartment is well-equipped . When we did have an issue, the CS team were helpful. Would be happy to stay there again despite there being 4 of us and not masses of space but that is not to detract from a wonderful stay in Reykjavik.

The Ice Apartments were located in a very centralized downtown area of Reykjavik. It was actually next to the famous Rainbow street which made it very convenient to all the shops, restaurants, and points of interest. It was very easy to walk to Bonus grocery store which was a plus for us since we decided to cook some of our meals in the apartment. The outside of the apartment building was just ok--not as pretty as the pictures online but it was decent. The inside of the apartment, however, was just as nice as in the pictures. Clean, spacious, and had all the amenities described online. We did run into a problem with the washer/dryer combo. Not user friendly as it kept erroring out and not completely drying our clothes. We eventually just looked for a laundry mat and used the washer and dryers there (laundry mat was a 5 min walk from apartment). There was also a sensor light for the bathroom and unfortunately, when you are in the shower, it doesn't detect movement so the light will turn off so had to always stick my hand out of the shower and wave to turn lights on. This happened every minute so it was bothersome. Overall, we were still very satisfied with our stay because of the cleanliness and the location of the property and would definitely stay here again when we visit Reykjavik in the future.

Going to just start this off by saying there was no elevator, with a 3 story walk up I felt this should have been highlighted better and a warning before booking made now on to the important stuff; Location location location and you could not beat this one. Was it a bit tricky to spot yes but it is behind another building which added some privacy given how central it was located. I also didn’t receive check in instructions until the day before after finding a blurb on Expedia that you need to contact the hotel 48hrs ahead. Despite this the instructions are crystal clear and made it much easier to find. There is no parking but Reykjavík is a nightmare for parking and you’ll probably need a car so hopefully long before booking you’ll be aware of this and it won’t come at such a blow. the apartment itself could not have been cuter, very Scandinavian in decor. all the space was welcomed as were the many appliances. bed was cozy. we were expecting a smell to the shower based on previous reviews and a different place we had stayed but were pleasantly surprised to find incredible water pressure without the sulphur. no noise issues noted and we stayed on a friday night before an early morning flight. overall would highly recommend if youre looking for space location and dont mind stairs

Great location with everything you could ask for. The host was very attentive through email and it was easy to get into. We were a family of 3 and it worked great, we had a little more privacy’s than a regular hotel room and we loved the towel warmers! The apartments are little tucked in, but when looking at the parking house map we figured it out. My only advisory is that there is no parking on site and you need to park at a parking house which is pretty much right beside it and over night parking is very reasonable, unlike the drinking and eating haha. The only issue with the parking is that it closes from midnight to 7am. We had an issue one day but parked elsewhere hoping we wouldn’t get a ticket, and hopefully we didn’t. If anyone can advocate for a 6am open for that parking house (garage) that would be great, as most people visiting Iceland may have a day where they have an early morning tour. Location is prime area
Excellent location for where we were staying! It is hard to find at first and the basement unit needs to fix their blackout shades and the bathroom door made a lot of noise and hard to open as well as had to shower in the dark since the motion sensor stopped while showering.

The location was nearby all stores and restaurants, and the appartement was clean and had all the required amenities. The only thing was the balcony view looked out onto green bins/garbage bin but that was minor since again we were so close to the Main Street. Would highly recommend people staying there and the team couldn’t have been more helpful. They responded in a timely and polite manner via email. Would love to go back!

Pros: Property was right in down town so it was easy to get arround. Property access was easy with entrance code. Parking house was just beside Property, just it was less room for parking. Cons: Pictures of apprtarment did not match to actual room items, room lights were so dim, wash room light was turning of very quickly. Bed was not very comfortable, floor carpet and sofa were dirty. Less hangers for two people.

The property is central, clean and comfortable, however, there is no luggage storage and check inis very rigid, the access code does not activate until 3pm exactly even thought the property was cleaned and ready ( we tried at 2.45pm). I had to repair the bathroom sensor light and the sound on the TV needed configuring as the sound bar was not working and despite all this when I asked for a 1 hr later check out we were told 30 euro for an extra 2 hrs.

Fabulous location in the Centre of Reykjavík, within walking distance of main attractions, shopping and supermarkets. Comfortable and practical apartment.
