I stay at this hotel about 20 nights a year. This will be the last time. I accidentally booked the wrong night. Any decent hotel would credit that night to the next stay. But not here. I have been told by the staff I stay here more than any other customer.
No free breakfast EVER no aporeciation of any kind. So they kept my money and not only that but I needed a lays checkout snd they refused that as well.
I calculate I spend over $2000 USD per year here. It is not the nicest hotel in Nairobi, but it is ok. The restaurant is really bad. Do not get the buffet breakfast. It is not good.
I have stayed here a lot so it is clearly in my opinion a good price for the experience. Until you need someone in their hidden management group to take care of a problem.
I give it the worst rating possible due to the extreamly poor management. Not due to the staff. They try hard and apologize for their idiot bosses.
But those bosses are never willing to talk to a customer. And again I am their most frequent customer. So I’m sure if anything ever goes wrong with your trip they will not help you an any way.
Also be sure to book here with Hotels.com if you come it is about 30% less than booking direct.
Have a nice time in Kenya. But if you might want to try a different hotel.

The hotel tends to be priced attractively, although it is definitely quite worn around the edges. Last time I stayed there I had to change rooms because the AC wasn't working. This has happened to a colleague of mine who stayed there as well.
My main issue is that I have found the booking policies of the hotel very frustrating. I stayed there semi-frequently until recently, when I needed to change a booking. I asked at check-in how to amend the booking and was told it was no problem and I should simply come back later to sort it out. I did that and got told I couldn't amend the booking unless I did it through orbitz. I went online to orbitz and it was clear the hotel had elected to not refund any bookings, so orbitz simply directed me to talk to the hotel.
I brought this up with the staff who proceeded to give me the runaround and told me to talk to the manager (who seemed to never be around when I was around). It was apparently my responsibility to chase the manager and the manager was not able to get back to me on this issue.
Finally, on the day I was checking out, one of the staff members wrote me a 'credit note' stating that I could use it the next time I stayed to the hotel.
Next time I stayed at the hotel, I presented the credit note, and was told it meant nothing and that the hotel didn't provide refunds.
The funny thing is, I stayed at the hotel very regularly and the hotel was making good money off me. Their refund policy is a massive own goal.
At the price point which I paid. This is great value for the money. This is the second time I stayed at this hotel. Will stay there again. The stafg are pleasant and nice. Again, anyone that complains about this hotel needs to book a $250 night hotel which will meet their needs. You can expect to stay at a three-star hotel and get a five-star accommodation.

Honestly, we didn’t stay long enough to have a comprehensive experience, they would allow us to make a detail review. Which is stayed for one night, and everything about it was great and convenient.

I liked the rooftop bar and restaurant, but I didn’t so much enjoy the Wi-Fi because of how slow it works.
