Could have been great

The hotel is ideally located and has plenty going on around it. The issue we faced was that our room was directly above the bar which meant that it was noisy until quite late at night. Add to this, the bright lights that illuminate the front of the hotel beamed into the room around the curtains. This just meant that it was not a particularly good night which was a shame given the other things the hotel has to offer, such as the excellent quality food.

Lovely 1 night stay.

Lovely scenic location. Close to hill walks and all Glencoe Valley has to offer. Good place for an overnight on your way through. Decent restaurant and very good free breakfast. Comfortable beds and clean bathroom.

Lovely room, nicely decorated. In need of more lamps! Perfect breakfast and dinner was great, staff all lovely. Road noise unavoidable, but seemed to die down after 11pm. You are basically on an A road with cars and lorries trundling past. Rooms to the rear would likely be quieter?

Very basic room. We booked deluxe but the room was very small and cold. Terrible WiFi. We told the staff but they did not offer any solution. There was something dripping all night outside the patio doors. I had a very poor sleep. Would not stay again.

Beginning of the season

For the beginning of the season April the price was expensive then come to breakfast there was very limited availability for anything which meant that my child was unable to eat most of what was left along with mine being over cooked. Generally rooms are clean and tidy and up to date although a little small. Staff were courteous and friendly.

This was an expensive room and got road side noise with the view of a rusty power transmission tower. Not how it was advertised as a hotel with views of the highlands. Buyer beware!

Location, food, and beds! 5 Stars.

Stayed here while hiking the Westhighland Way. Paid way too much for the hotel room but the location and quality can’t be beat. The rooms were small but very clean and very comfortable and the breakfast the next morning was amazing - delicious fuel for a full day of hiking.

The staff were so pleasant helpful and kind. The room was kept immaculate by housekeeping. The receptionist was so cheerful and helpful as was the waiting staff in the restaurant and bar. The food in the restaurant was delicious and a reasonable selection. Really could not fault at all.
