The motel was reasonably priced and had a good location, walkable to historic old town sights, shops, and restaurants. That said, the actual block that it's on is a bit run down and shabby, and the property is located directly across the street from the not-so-picturesque county jail.
Remote check-in via video call was a different and kind of cool experience, and just as efficient as the regular face-to-face hotel check-ins that I'm familiar with. Checking out was equally simple.
The room was a bit worn around the edges but clean, and the beds were comfy. Our room fronted a rather busy street (and aforesaid jail) and we were a bit concerned about traffic noise, but it was well soundproofed and we weren't bothered.
Major con was that the parking spots in the covered lot are TINY and many have posts in between them. They're also on right angles, not on a slant. Our SUV is one of the smallest ones on the market (Subaru Crosstrek) and parking in the garage was still not an option for us due to the configuration and miniature parking spaces.
Major pro was the shower. Amazing water pressure, nice and hot for basically as long as you want it to be. Overall I'd probably stay again for the walkable location and reasonable rate, assuming I'm driving a sub-compact vehicle next time.
