The Inn has great food and drink options and the bar staff was friendly. The room was very hot and the skylight did not open, nor could you see out of it. The room and bathroom were very clean. I appreciated an in- room TV with channels that night as well.

Really enjoyed our stay. Accommodation was comfortable. Rooms were clean and warm. Staff were lovely and so helpful. We had a baby with us and Derek, the owner, kindly gave us another room as there was not a lot of space in the room to accomodate our portable cot. The food in the pub was really good too. Didn’t have the breakfast as we were visiting family but we enjoyed the evening meals there. Would highly recommend.

Lovely pub friendly staff and atmosphere, ideally location for our trip to the bladnoch distillery that is located directly across from the inn. Thanks.

Bladnovk distillery stayover.

The food both for evening meal and breakfast were very good. Derrick is a great landlord and a pleasure to have met him and his staff.

I am 6'6" and currently have limited mobility following an operation. Stairs were a slight problem and i got room 3 which as someone else mentioned had sloping ceilings in parts but there were numerous 'mind your head' signs. Room was compact and clean with two single beds. Limited parking - i ended up being told to park on part of the pavement outside the inn. Owner was very helpful but seemed to be pretty stressed with everything he had to do. Bar and restaurant staff were very attentive and welcoming. Food very good. No breakfast Would i go back - probably not with my current mobility problems but i would recommend to any others

2/10 Poor

Cupboard sized room with an attic window

On arrival at 1.30, doors locked. Had to chap to get open. Given key and never seen anybody after that. Rooms were tiny with very soft uncomfortable matresses. Bathroom pokey. Attic window only opened an inch. But the biggy was i emailed re. Brreakfast and was tole breakfast was £12.50 for full english breakfast. On arrival were told no breakfasts on a sunday morning. The accomodation was paid in advance, otherwise we would not have stayed.

Pub is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays so you will have to go elsewhere for food in the evening.

Great staff at Bladnoch Inn

The Bladnoch Inn staff were wonderful, very helpful and willing to accommodate any request (meals, water bottles, etc). The old Inn itself has great charm as a country pub. Located directly across the street from Bladnoch Distillery, so very good location for visiting that site, or Wigtown just a mile distant. Our room was very small and basic, but had en-suite and everything to make us comfortable. We enjoyed our short stay there.

I would hardly describe the room as "a superior twin room". It was a very small room with twin beds and was very stuffy. I was unable to open the window. We asked about breakfast, but were advised that this was unavailable on a Sunday. I paid online and was emailed and asked to check in online. A few days after our stay someone telephoned me to ask whether I had paid or not! Fortunately, I was able to check my credit card statement and confirm that payment had been made.

Well placed for places of interest for the tourist. The food first rate.Parking obviously restricted but didnt cause us a problem.

Reasonable value for money; well located for my holiday plans. Room had adequate facilities but roof window didn't close fully, so room got chilly. Shaver point/ light not working. Lack of secure cycle storage overnight meant using bedroom. Menu gave restricted choice for me, not a meat eater. Macaroni cheese, the only vegetarian option, was poor. Saturday breakfast was very nice and I was well looked after by Kirsty, to whom my thanks. Whole stay was spoiled by lack of breakfast on Sunday. I wasn't told this until Saturday evening and was not offered anything such as a box of cereals. I feel I should have been made aware of this from outset - I could have made alternative arrangements.

a rare bargain in the B&B Inn sector

INEXPENSIVE STAY no breakfast provded .compact room but comfy single bed . Good food ,especiallyt as Friday night is discount fish and chips night! Nicely cooked and presented without over supplied chips - a common fault! good local ale -unlike a lot of Scotland. Would stay again - bad points? telly didnt pick up any channels but probably easily fixed and parking on road only option.
