The 'Lodge,' such as it is, is a free-standing converted house about a 7-minute walk from the main inn. It serves only continental breakfast; hot breakfast (and parking, if you have a car) are provided only at the main inn. Overall, the Lodge is a nice place, but for the rates they charge, I'd expect higher quality service (my room wasn't vacuumed for two days), furnishings (every set of towels I received was ratty, with very frayed edges) and amenities (it was extremely warm, and there was no fan in the room). Furthermore, the mattress on my bed seemed to be made of foam rubber: no support at all. While it is no fault of the property, guests should also be aware that the location is very close to the town centre (mainly, a positive) and noise from revelers went on well past midnight every night I stayed. On the positive, the breakfasts were perfectly prepared and the dining room service was excellent.
